Oh, because that helped relax me so much. “Me? Why would I be freaking out?”

“That’s what I’m always wondering, Red.” He placed his hand against the side of my head and brushed his thumb over my temple…then leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to my lips.

It was much too fast for me, but still, it somehow stole my breath. “Hi,” I said.

“Hi. You ready for this? It’s your first time doing the parent thing.”

“I’ve met your mom before.”

“Yeah, but you weren’t really mine then.”

Oh, well, hello there. My stomach flipped. Apparently, I liked being someone’s…or I liked being Rush’s, at least. This was going to be a disaster. “Wait. Did you tell her it was fake before?” I asked, a bit of panic in my voice.

“Yeah. I wasn’t supposed to?”

For one moment, my heart dropped to my gut before I playfully pushed him away on his good arm. “I hate you.”

“You say that to me a lot, and of course I didn’t tell her, but you know, so you’ll be freaked out.”

“If you know me, you know I’d rather you not mention my flaws.”

“Who said it’s a flaw?” He pushed closer to me, pressing my back against the car, his groin against me. “I like that I can kiss you when I want now…and that I make you tremble. I felt it. See? You’re such a good boy for me, Red. Always so responsive…so hungry for me. I can’t look at you without my dick getting hard. You make me feel so good every time I’m with you. So fucking sexy.”

“Oh God.” I pushed my hand between us, rubbing his bulge. There was nothing I wanted more than to get on my knees for him right then and there. Why did it get me off so much when he complimented me? When he lifted me up and told me how good I was, how sexy I was, and what I did to him?

“Is there somewhere we can hide so I can suck your cock? I don’t want to go inside because then your mom will know what we’re doing.”

Rush chuckled. “Mmm. I wish we had time. For now, I’m just gonna taste my favorite lips.” This time when he kissed me, it wasn’t simple and it wasn’t quick. He nibbled at my lip, silently pleaded for access to my mouth, which I granted him. His tongue dipped inside, and I nearly melted, but if anyone asked, I’d totally blame it on the nonexistent heat.

He thrust against me, his hand sliding down my face to cup my cheek as he deepened the kiss. It was like there was nothing else in the world besides Rush and me. That both excited me and made me want to run and hide. I would lose my head with him. Trust him. Give him the opportunity to hurt me. Jesus, what would I do if Rush hurt me?

“Um…hi.”

Rush slowly pulled away from me at the sound of a male voice. If the car hadn’t been behind me, I likely would have jumped backward.

Dean raised a hand and waved. “I pulled up…waited a minute to see if you guys would realize I was here. When the thrusting began, I figured I should say something.”

“That’s not in the interview. I don’t want it to start with you pulling into the driveway and me making out with my partner.”

Partner? When did we get there? It felt like the word partner was a whole lot more serious than boyfriend.

“Obviously. I’m not the monster you seem to think I am. I’m a guy who likes sports and who also wants to raise LGBTQ visibility. That’s it.”

“Come on,” Rush replied. “Let’s get started.”

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Rush

Rush Alexander really does have a one-of-a-kind story.

The three of us began to walk toward my motocross track. “Like I said before, I don’t want the focus to be me being gay, but I don’t want to avoid it either.” I’d gotten more used to it. I wanted to be known for my skill, but after listening to Linc, I got it. It made me consider who was watching in a way I didn’t really let myself think about before.

“What matters is how we do it. If you trust me, I’ll make this a piece of strong representation, which is important, but I’ll do it without making it obvious that’s what I’m doing. It’ll be…hell, it’ll be just like an interview with a straight rider. Like today, I won’t mention the kiss, but I can say: When I first arrived, Rush and his partner, Lincoln, showed me around…but obviously, better.” Dean laughed. “That’s how I would do it with a straight rider. I wouldn’t ignore his wife’s or girlfriend’s presence, but I wouldn’t make a big deal out of it either.”

Without looking, I knew Linc froze up beside me.
