I don’t want Hayden to fuck around with Sebastian, but I have no right not to want him to.

“Of course.” Hayden slides off my lap and sits beside me. “I’m excited to do this with you too, Cody. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather spend my Thanksgiving with.”

“Aw, shucks,” I tease him. “Now you’re just trying to make me blush.”

He rolls his eyes and then groans. “I don’t want to go to work tonight.”

“I don’t want you to go to work tonight,” I tell him. “The condo is all quiet without you.”

“Are you saying I’m loud?” he asks.

“Obnoxiously,” I tease.

“Whatever. I’m going to go shower before I crawl into bed instead.”

He begins to walk toward his room. As I watch him go, I say, “Want me to help?”

“Me shower?” He turns.

“Yeah.”

“If you got in there with me, I definitely wouldn’t be on time for work.”

I sigh. “You’re no fun. I’ll just have to look through my phone. See who wants to play while you’re away.”

Hayden pauses, then chuckles and tells me to have fun before making his way into his room. I finish drawing Math Man crushing a killer math equation. When I’m finished, I make my way into the kitchen just as he comes out dressed in his uniform. It looks cute on him, hugs his body nicely.

“What time do you get off?” I ask.

“Six. You’ll still be passed out when I get home.”

“We sound awfully domesticated.” I cock a brow at him.

“Right? It’s sort of weird, how easily we fell into a routine together.” He pulls a bottle of water out of the fridge. “Okay, gotta go. See you tomorrow.” And then he’s out the door, leaving me alone.

I grab a beer, turn everything off and then go to my room. Once in bed, I grab my phone but don’t try to call anyone to hook up the way I joked I would.

Doc answers almost immediately. “How ya doing, kid?” he asks.

“Good…so, change of plan. Hayden and I are cooking Thanksgiving dinner at our place for you and his mom.”

“You can’t cook,” he replies.

“No shit! That’s what I told him. He’ll really be the one cooking, and I’ll be getting in the way, I’m sure.”

Doc pauses for a moment, and I know exactly what’s going through his head. “This is different.”

“Yeah, it is.”

“Something going on with you and him? Besides blowjobs and threesomes, that is?”

I think about Hayden talking to Sebastian the other night at Pump. About the fact that he just got out of a long-ass relationship, I’ve never been in one, and how we’re friends who basically watch movies, eat stuff he bakes and double-penetrate twinks. “Nah, nothing going on. He’s cute and I like spending time with him but that’s it.”

What the hell else could there be?

Hayden

I slide a pan of chocolate chip cookies onto the rack in the oven and close the door before turning to see Cody swiping his forefinger around the rim of the aluminum bowl with the batter. He tastes some, closing his eyes as he savors it, moaning a familiar moan that I’ve gotten to enjoy in much steamier moments.

“Tastes real good,” he says, opening his eyes, the expression he’s making assuring me that he’s trying to make the act as sexual as possible.

“I can give you something else to taste,” I joke.

His brow raises, his expression filled with interest.

He moves toward me quickly, holding the bowl to his side. I step back, hitting my ass on the cabinet behind me as he presses his torso against mine while setting the bowl down on the counter behind me.

He scans my face, his eyes settling on my lips.

My dick stiffens in my jeans.

“I wouldn’t mind a little taste right about now,” Cody says.

He squats, and as much as I want to do this, I know we don’t have any time.

I slide out from between him and the counter.

“We seriously have to finish getting things ready,” I say. “We have so much to do. I have those fold-out tables and chairs I borrowed from Mom that we have to set up. And then all those dishes I made last night have to be put on the stove at some point. I should have just dropped off that stuff at the food drive last night. Now I’m all stressed about getting back in time to put the turkey in the oven. And I’m freaking out a little because when I invited Derek to come over, I didn’t figure he’d mention it to Gary…and now we have Mom, Doc, my crew, and Travis that we have to entertain, and then—”

He rushes me again, pressing his lips to mine. My tension dissolves as he pushes me back against the corner of the fridge.

I enjoy those same sensations that ripple through my body whenever he kisses me, relaxing as his tongue slides into my mouth.
