“Why aren’t you eating?” Fierce demanded, as she pushed the half-finished bowl away. “You’re not trying to lose weight for that stupid wedding, are you?”

“It’s none of your business,” Celia snapped. “Though my wedding dress is a little snug,” she added, more to herself than to him.

“If you were Joining with me and Hold, we wouldn’t ask you to lose your gorgeous curves, you know,” Fierce growled, raking her body with his eyes. “Because you’re already fucking perfect, lelka.”

“It would be a pity if you lost your curves,” Hold agreed, also looking at her with desire in his hazel-green eyes. “We find you beautiful just as you are, my lady.”

The way they were looking at her made Celia think of the night before…of how they had both kissed and tasted her, making her come over and over again…

“Oh, well…” she began, blushing.

But at that moment, La’ver’na stood up in the center of the room and started talking.

“And now it is time for tonight’s Choosing,” she announced. “I need a goddess and her worshippers to come and enact a tale from the Goddess’s life when she took mortal form and came among us.”

Celia kept her mouth closed and her eyes averted. She really hoped that the unicorn priestess would choose someone else. Maybe Sess’ely and her worshippers again. Although now that she knew her worshippers were also her brothers, it was a lot more difficult to watch them all having sex together…

“You three,” La’ver’na suddenly announced. And from the corner of her eye, Celia saw that the priestess was pointing a finger at her and Hold and Fierce.

“Oh, no,” she said with a nervous laugh, trying to refuse gracefully. “I mean, thank you so much for thinking of us, but I get stage fright—I just can’t, uh, perform in front of strangers.”

“But you are not among strangers now, but among fellow members of the Sisterhood of Peace,” La’ver’na said. “And it is a great honor to be chosen to enact a story from the Goddess of the Shining Heart’s time as a mortal.”

“I’m sure it is, but I’m just so…so shy.” Celia gave a self-deprecating laugh and shrugged in a ‘what can you do’ kind of way. “I just can’t!”

The priestess gave her a look that was bordering on a glare.

“You cannot refuse unless you wish to renounce your membership in the Sisterhood this minute!” she said in a warning tone. “Now will you and your worshippers come forward or not?”

“I think we’re going to have to do it, my lady,” Hold murmured.

“Yeah—I don’t like performing for them but I don’t think we have a choice,” Fierce agreed, frowning at the priestess.

“Well…all right.” Celia nodded reluctantly. They all walked forward and she looked at La’ver’na. “Uh, what do you want us to do?”

“Be silent for now—you must enact the story as I tell it,” the priestess ordered. Then she lifted her voice and began to speak…

CELIA

“Long ago, the Goddess decided to take mortal form and walk among us for a season, looking for those that would worship her,” La’ver’na began.

Feeling extremely silly, Celia began to walk up and down in front of the large caldron. She put a hand up as though to shade her eyes, pretending to stare off into the horizon as she searched for worshippers.

“Soon she came upon two men…but they were too busy arguing with each other to notice the Goddess and worship her,” the unicorn priestess continued.

At once, Hold and Fierce began frowning at each other and Fierce shook his fist and growled.

“So the Goddess came up to them and put a hand on each of their arms. She said, ‘Why do you fight so? Pray, tell me your argument so I can help you settle it.”

At this point, Celia came up and placed her hands on their muscular arms, acting out the part. Her stomach was jumping with nerves and it was all she could do to hold back the nervous giggle that rose to her throat.

“As it turned out, the two were arguing about which should be the next chief of their tribe,” La’ver’na went on. “And so the Goddess proposed to help them settle the issue.”

“Here we go,” Fierce muttered sardonically and Celia shot him a look and had to bite back another nervous giggle. Dios—this was ridiculous!

Luckily, it seemed the priestess hadn’t heard the Dark Twin or seen the look that passed between them.

“She told the two of them to pull out their shafts,” she went on, still in story-telling mode. “And whichever she judged to be the best, that man should be the next ruler and chieftain of their tribe.”

Hold and Fierce exchanged a glance and Fierce shrugged. Then each of them pulled their red silk loincloths to the side, exposing their huge cocks to everyone in the room.

There were murmurs of appreciation from the audience—even in a room full of the well-hung goat men, Hold and Fierce stood out.
