“Well, he got what he deserved,” Kat said, patting her hand comfortingly. “And all that money his family was hoarding is going to go to help people in need—that’s a good thing.”

“Yes, it is.” Celia nodded. “You know, I don’t see how I ever convinced myself I’d be happy with him,” she said. “I’m so glad the Goddess sent Hold and Fierce to me instead.”

“Being mated and married to a Kindred warrior—or warriors—is amazing,” Kat agreed, smiling. “Speaking of being married, is that a brand-new engagement ring I see on your finger?” She nodded at Celia’s left hand.

Celia smiled and lifted her hand so her friend could see the ring better.

“As a matter of fact, it is. It has three bands—see? The gold one in the middle is me and the emerald one is for Fierce and the ruby one is for Hold. The guys found a jeweler who was open on Christmas somehow and they wanted the colors to reflect the season.” Celia smiled as she remembered the two of them getting on one knee and presenting her with the little box wrapped in gold paper.

“I love it,” Kat said, smiling. “So when’s the wedding? Do you want me to help plan it?”

“We were thinking around New Years,” Celia said. “I want to be married before I start showing,” she added, patting her lower belly.

“We can definitely make that happen,” Kat said. “We can start planning it right away if you want.”

“Oh, yes! I—”

Suddenly Celia got a feeling like someone wanted to talk to her and she opened her mind.

“Lelka, where are you?” Fierce’s mental voice growled. “We need you!”

“We miss you, my lady,” Hold added. “But we don’t want to rush your time with your friend.”

“I’ll be home soon,” Celia promised them, “Get the Bonding Chair ready.”

“We will,” Fierce promised.

“Your wish is our pleasure,” Hold added.

Delicious feelings of lust and tenderness came to her through the mental link with her guys and then their mental voices faded from her mind.

“Uh-oh—I know that look.” Kat grinned at her. “You just got a booty call from your boys, didn’t you?”

Celia blushed.

“I’m er, still under the effects of that Bonding Fruit concentrate you gave me,” she admitted. “I sort of took the whole bottle at once and it’s been slowly working its way out of my system.”

Kat’s eyes widened.

“The whole bottle at once? Oh my goodness, doll—you’re only supposed to take a tiny sip at a time.” She shook her head. “That’s my fault—I should have told you.”

“No, it’s all right—I don’t mind. In fact, I’m really enjoying myself” Celia giggled and blushed.

Kat laughed.

“Well, I’m glad it all worked out all right. But before you go just tell me—what about the baby? I’m assuming Hold and Fierce are going to be her fathers?”

“Oh, absolutely—they’re already helping me think of names and Fierce wants to build her a cradle himself.” Celia sighed happily. “I think they’re going to make wonderful fathers.”

Kat patted her hand.

“Kindred always do. That little girl is going to be spoiled rotten by those two—just wait and see!”

“I know.” Celia smiled and patted her belly. “But right now, I’m kind of enjoying being spoiled myself. Speaking of which, I think I might ask Hold and Fierce to give me another massage before we…you know, get down to business.”

“Go for it.” Kat rose from the table and Celia did as well. “I’m so happy everything worked out for you, hon,” Kat said and gave her a hug.

Celia hugged her back.

“I am too. I’m happier up here with my guys on the Mother Ship than I ever would have been down on Earth with Peter.”

“Of course you are,” Kat told her. “A girl is never happier than when she becomes one of the Brides of the Kindred. Now go on, doll—don’t keep your guys waiting. We’ll plan your Joining ceremony later.”

Celia smiled at her friend and left to go join her men. Her life was completely different than what she’d thought it would be…and so much better than she’d ever dreamed or imagined.

She felt truly blessed.
