“Saga,” he moans as I suck his finger dry.
His mouth is on mine the moment I release his thumb. He lines up with my entrance, running his tip up and down my folds but not slipping inside where I need him most.
When he breaks the kiss to look into my eyes, I see something different there. Something deeper than any of the other looks he has ever given me. It’s an acceptance of sorts, but something more is there… determination… possession.
I can’t pin it down to one thing. I just know that his gaze is full of emotions that threaten to consume me and my own feelings for him. He slips into my body and stills.
Pulsing inside me, he never breaks the connection of our eyes. Right here, right now, I know this is the only man meant for me. Forget my past. He is all I need to know or want.
“I love you,” we say in unison.
He breaks into a breathtaking smile. I couldn’t tell you how the hell I got here. The last seven months are suddenly a blur, but I know I’m right where I need to be.
CHAPTER 24
Vegas
Bishop
“Saga,” I call through the suite. “Come on, baby. We need to go.”
My heart is in my throat. I know things between us have been moving fast, but instead of pumping the breaks, I’ve decided to move forward full steam ahead. It feels right.
“I’m coming,” she says as she appears from the bedroom.
My mouth runs dry and my cock hardens instantly. She looks drop-dead gorgeous. Her red dress stops midthigh, showing off her thick, shapely legs. She has on a pair of those sexy-as-fuck red bottoms.
I sent her to the spa this morning and she came back glowing with her hair done to perfection. I’m damn proud to call the woman standing before me mine. All that chocolate belongs to me.
“What? Is it too much?” she says, looking down at her dress.
I cross the room to close the distance. With my hand cupped behind her neck, I capture her lips and kiss her like it’s the last time I ever will. She locks her fingers into my T-shirt, holding me close.
“Fuck, I want you,” I say against her now swollen lips.
“I thought you had to get to sound check early,” she chuckles.
“I do,” I grumble. “I can’t wait to get you out of this dress later.”
“Let’s go, Mr. Love. I don’t want your fans trying to jump me because I kept you from giving them the perfect concert,” she says as she gives me that gorgeous smile.
With my purpose renewed in my head, I lace my fingers with hers and lead her out of the hotel suite. I’ll have plenty of time to worship her sexy body and all its curves. First, I need to make it through the next few hours.
Make it count, Bishop.
Saga
Something is totally up with Bishop. He’s not acting like himself and this isn’t how the sound checks usually go. The band is all here, Bishop is center stage, but he has me up here on stage as well.
“Stop fidgeting. You’re gorgeous,” he chuckles, leaning in to kiss my cheek.
I’m so self-conscious sitting in this chair on stage. There’s no crowd beyond us, but I can’t help thinking that he might decide to do this again later when there is. I shove my nerves down and give him a smile.
“What are you up to?” I laugh. “Should I record this?”
“No. You just sit there and listen,” he says.
I nod and fold my hands in my lap. Bishop and the band start to play and I’m enthralled by the sound that moves through me. Closing my eyes, I sway in my seat.
The brush of Bishop’s lips has me opening my eyes again. I’m met with those intense blues and arrested by the love I see in them. His words only reveal the story I see in his depths.
If I’m wrong, take the key and lock me up
I’ll surrender my life to have you as my wife
So many ways to say I love you
Te amo, baby, Je t’aime
No matter how I say it, it’s you and me
I don’t think there’s any other way for us to be
I’m a man lost without you
I’ve written these love letters, every single one about you
I’m holding my breath as the music changes and the chorus comes in. I know what’s coming, but my brain misfires as I hear the words spill from his lips. I can’t believe my ears.
Hear me, baby
I know this might be crazy
But will you marry me tonight—?
I know this might sound crazy
But I need you, baby
Will you marry me tonight—?
I have huge, fat tears streaming down my cheeks as he sings from his heart. I can hear it in every word. My knee is bouncing. It’s all I can do to keep my shit together just a little.
