That got a chuckle out of me as my shirt popped over my head. “Always the cuddler.”

“Always.” He nuzzled against my cheek as he tossed my shirt to the floor. “And you never made me feel weird about it or like there was something wrong with me.”

Sweeping his hands over me, Leif kissed down my neck and over my shoulder as his hands moved to my pants. “You just held my hand in the movies and sat pressed against me when we had the money to go out. You made it all seem perfectly normal.”

We’d been dating all along.

It seemed like both of us were a bit slow on the uptake, but part of me wouldn’t have changed a thing because I loved where we’d ended up.

“It was normal.” Kissing his cheek as he pushed my pants and briefs down to the floor, I finally got my hands to do more than just hold him and started tugging at his shirt. “You were always special to me. I think we just needed to grow up a bit more to see what that meant.”

Leif wrapped me tight in his arms as I stepped out of my clothes, slowly running a hand over me as the other held me like he never wanted to let me go. “You kept me going and kept me pushing toward the future. You’ve been the best friend I could’ve ever asked for and I hope I can be half as good to you going forward.”

I snorted as I pushed him back just enough to get to his clothes, making him laugh as I stripped off his shirt. “You’re already better than that. You keep us on track and you helped us make goals. You didn’t even think I was crazy when I wanted to be your pup.”

He’d always been everything to me and I couldn’t imagine how he didn’t see that.

“You’re the cutest pup.” He chuckled as I felt my face heat up again, but working on his pants kept me from getting too embarrassed. “And just imagining anyone else taking care of you like that made me…let’s call it unreasonably angry.”

I shouldn’t have laughed, but the idea of him being jealous was so cute. “Where you planning on chasing off any other Doms I found?”

He scoffed, rolling his eyes as he stepped out of his clothes and his dick got even harder, clearly demanding attention. “It would never have gotten that far.”

Adorable.

“I’m glad.” Kissing his cheek as I ran my hands up his chest, I worked my way down his neck and over his shoulders. “I never wanted anyone else to be my Handler. Just you.”

I’d never met anyone like Leif. Even saying I trusted him didn’t seem like a good enough description. It went beyond trust. He was the only man I could’ve ever submitted to like that and the only one I ever imagined taking care of me in my fantasies.

Leif made a low, needy sound as I leaned down to tease one nipple with my tongue. “Fuck.”

As I laughed, he had time to throw the blanket on the back of the couch to the floor. Before I could go back and see what nibbling on him would get me, he wrapped his arms around me again and lowered us to the floor. “You seem to be doing your best to drive me crazy.”

It didn’t seem to take much, honestly, but I knew better than to point that out. He might have been pretending to let me lead as we danced, but he could only push his Dom side back so much. But since it was one of the things I loved best about him, I lifted my head and gave him a kiss. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Playing dumb got me a sexy growl and fast, hot, toe-curling kiss. But he pulled back too soon and had me pinned to the floor so I couldn’t even thrust up and hump him.

The fact that just imagining it didn’t make me want to hide under the blanket we were currently on said just how gone for him I was.

“Still don’t know what you’re doing to me?” His smirk had me shaking my head and trying to look innocent. “I didn’t think so.”

Shaking his head as his body slid lower, he sighed as he kissed my shoulder. “I guess I’ll just have to show you.”

Oh, I wasn’t sure I liked that plan.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t understand the question.” It wasn’t a good plan but it was all I had. “I make you crazy. It’s all my fault.”

I wasn’t sure what I’d done, honestly, because just being me seemed to make him nuts sometimes, but I had no intention of saying anything but a sincere-sounding apology.

He snorted.

So, did that mean I needed to work on sounding more believable or coming up with a better way to say sorry?
