That felt a bit overwhelming, though, so I pushed it back and focused on his hands as they caressed over my back and his erection as it teased against mine. Yes, this was Leif and we were just going to touch and move and kiss.

We’d already done all the pieces. We’d just never put them together like this and just because it felt new didn’t make it unfamiliar.

So I kissed…and rubbed…and as the music changed again, I knew it was time to take the night up a notch.

As the rhythm started to build, I shifted my hands so I could run them along his sides. Every time they skimmed over his hips, I could feel him tense and the need would inch higher, but I didn’t let him rush me.

I simply kissed higher on his neck until I was nibbling on his ear and spread my fingers a fraction wider as I went up his body again. That got a groan from him and his hands tightened on my ass, pulling me tight against his body. “I don’t think that counts as dancing.”

Trying not to laugh, I rocked up and down against him and teased his ear with my tongue. “I beg to differ.”

This was the best kind of dancing…especially when we didn’t have an audience.

“Just the two of us moving to music.” Yep, best kind of dancing. “It’s romantic and special.”

Something just for the two of us, like movie nights and cuddling.

The pup stuff might end up being more of a group activity than I’d ever imaged, but this would always be something that was just between us.

“It is.” As we slowly moved around the room, Leif’s hands massaged my ass and I could feel him taking more control. “You had the best idea ever. Dancing should always be a private activity.”

I had to admit that I felt relief at knowing I wouldn’t have to dance in public, but the pleasure in his voice and the smooth tone of his Dom side inching out said I didn’t have to feel guilty. Leif might’ve liked the idea of going out to a club and grinding on the dance floor, but he loved knowing this was just for us.

“Slow and special.” One hand came up my back and sent a shiver through me as his fingers caressed my neck and they slowly carded through my hair. “Taking turns with who’s leading and who’s following.”

I had a feeling it’d just become my turn to follow.

I almost managed a cute comeback, but when his fingers tightened and he eased my head back just enough to take my lips in a slow kiss, he sent every thought flying in a thousand different directions. He knew it too. Something about the firm way he held me had me melting against him and he made a low, pleased sound.

My Dom was definitely back.

“Mine.” Barely whispering the words as he eased up long enough to take a breath, he was staking his claim before I could do more than whine.

We were technically still moving to the music, but as he made love to my mouth and his tongue stroked again mine, it was like no dancing I’d ever done…and I loved it. I loved that we had something just for us, but the overwhelming sensations that it sent through me had me clinging to him as my eyes prickled.

It felt stupid, but as he inched back, he just smiled and kissed my cheeks. “My partner. My boy. My pup.”

His.

I belonged to Leif. “Make love to me?”

I knew what his answer would be, but I loved the look of happiness on his face and the way he leaned close and gave me an almost innocent peck, barely brushing his lips against mine. “Always.”

A shower of pleasure and tender emotions I couldn’t quite pin down flowed through me and I shivered. Instead of letting me hide against him, Leif just kept smiling and held me tighter, giving me another kiss like he knew what I was feeling and there was nothing to worry about. “I think I’ve loved you since the first moment I saw you.”

I couldn’t have found words even to save our lives, but luckily, he didn’t mind being in charge of them for the moment.

Giving me another soft kiss, he leaned his forehead against mine and smiled tenderly. “You were all attitude and mixed signals, and you were so confusing, but there was a spark in you that kept pulling me in.”

Giving him a quick hug to help him understand how he made me feel, relief rushed through me when he nodded. “You always made me feel like the most important person in your life, even when we were just barely circling each other and had no idea what any of it meant.”

Sprinkling kisses over my face as we just swayed, no longer even pretending to actually dance, he slowly inched my shirt up my chest. “And I can’t even tell you the number of times I wondered what it would be like to really hold you.”
