Okay, maybe I still wasn’t at my biggest.

Gray looked very Daddy-like as he gave me a serious nod even though I could see he wanted to laugh. His eyes were twinkling when he stood up and picked up the ketchup. “I will put away the not a fruit or a vegetable condiment.”

Snickering, I nodded back. “I will wash the baking sheet.”

Because playing in bubbles was better than putting things away. But it was amazing having Gray around. Cleaning the kitchen went much faster when there was a real grown-up making sure I didn’t get distracted…or play in the bubbles too much.

“All done.” Gray’s Daddy look was back as he studied the kitchen, clearly very proud of us. I found myself taking a step toward him, but I stopped when I remembered we hadn’t talked about limits or what he was comfortable with or if he was still going to stay.

He must’ve seen lots of my questions on my face because he cocked his head and studied me like I was very important. “You seem to have a lot on your mind.”

“Yep.” Like how hard it was to stay still. I stopped rocking once I realized I was doing it, but that was so hard. “Are you going to stay?”

He nodded and didn’t seem to think about it at all. “Unless you tell me you want me to go.”

“I don’t.” Well, that was one decision out of the way. He was good at that. “Can I ask another question?”

“Yes.” His quick thinking was amazing. “What would you like to know?”

“Should we talk about what we’re going to do and limits and if it’s okay to ask for more hugs and kisses?” Everything kind of popped out at once, but Gray was still a very good Daddy and didn’t think it was ridiculous.

“Yes.” He didn’t seem worried about what to do as he came closer, but he didn’t touch me either. He had so much control it was scary. “I would like to talk to you about limits. We can talk about what we’re comfortable doing for today and then have a longer conversation later.”

He paused, then gave me a smile that said he knew my head was still going round and round. “I also think it’s okay to ask for hugs and snuggles and kisses. But you’re going to have to tell me what kind of kisses you want. Cheek kisses or grown-up kisses.”

He was so smart.

“Um, cheek ones for now?” Because I wasn’t terribly big even though I wasn’t really little. “But…but would it be okay to say I want grown-up, after a good first date kisses before you go?”

His smile was naughty before he chuckled and it went back to being silly. “Yes, we can have grown-up kisses before I go because I think this is going to be a good first date too.”

Yay.

Okay, big kisses later and little snuggles now.

Yes.

“Can we do something? People do something after dinner. We could…we could watch a movie?” Yes, that would be a mostly grown-up kind of thing.

“I think that sounds wonderful.” He inched closer, opening his arms just enough to make me jump into them. As he laughed, he hugged me tight. “Is this alright with you?”

“Yes.” It’d been soooo long since anyone had snuggled me good.

People usually just hugged and let go, even when they were friends. Even dates who said they were Doms didn’t always like snuggling.

“I like snuggling and cuddling and being held and I have a big chair that rocks in my playroom.” For a minute I worried that was too much information at one time, but he kept hugging me until I melted into him. He didn’t even let go when I sighed. “I like big hugs. People don’t always give good big hugs.”

“They tease you with little hugs. I know.” He kissed my cheek when I laid my head down on his shoulder. He was just the right height. “I have a friend. He lives too far away for me to get good hugs now, but when we were in college, he gave the best hugs.”

“Good hug friends are very important.” I didn’t have any of those right now. “Can I be your good hug friend and your dating person?”

His chest jerked as he almost laughed, but he kissed my head and his hug got even better. “Yes, cutie. I would love for you to be my dating person and my good hug friend.”

“I’m glad.” The more he hugged me the more I relaxed and the more I realized he’d answered my questions. “My head is quiet now. Is yours?”

“It’s getting there.” He kissed my cheek again while he looked at all his whirling thoughts. “I’m wondering if it would be okay if we watched a cartoon movie and colored for a while. I’m also thinking about how I’ll know when you’re ready for your grown-up kisses and when I can ask about our second date without looking too eager.”
