“I can do that.”

“Yeah?”

She nodded.

“Might smother you.”

“I’ll tell you if you do that,” she told him.

“You need to keep your cupboards stocked and throw out old food.”

“We can do that,” Loki said.

Isa squeezed him tight. “Daddy, you can lean on us too. You don’t always have to be the strong one. Okay?”

“What she said,” Loki added.

“I’ll try,” Remy told them both.

“For now, why don’t I get some eggs?” Loki suggested. “We can have an omelet for breakfast. I’ll put in a shopping order. Get it delivered.”

“They deliver?” Remy asked.

Loki grinned. “For me, they do.”

Right. So he owned part of the grocery store too?

Isa felt so bad.

This was her fault. Loki breaking last night. Remy this morning. Although they were both strong. They’d pieced themselves back together.

Still, there was glitter in her stomach.

“Baby girl?” Remy asked, cupping her chin. “Are you all right?”

“Glitter guilt,” she whispered.

He stared down at her. “You know what I need today?”

“No. What?” Whatever it was, she wanted to give it to him. She’d give him the world if she could. She hated thinking of him being alone all these years. They needed to help him settle in here. Starting with getting him to sit at the Daddy table at quiz night. She was certain they could do something so he could keep an eye on both of them while making friends.

“Time with Isa-Bee. Do you think that’s possible?”

“The playroom is ready,” Loki said.

“What do you say?” Remy asked.

“I want that.” She nodded, her head throbbing slightly.

“Before you agree, I want complete control.” Remy frowned slightly as if he didn’t like admitting that.

Complete control?

She understood why he needed it. Both of them. Loki was nodding.

“I can do that. And will you . . . will you guys punish me?”

Remy’s eyebrows rose. “You need that, don’t you?”

“Yes.” So much.

“It won’t be like your other punishments,” Remy warned. “It will be far harsher.”

“I can take it.”

“Shouldn’t we wait for the results of the tests?” Loki asked. “Xavier was going to push them through.”

“It’s Saturday, though,” she said. “Won’t they take until Monday?”

“The lab at the hospital works through the weekend,” Loki told her.

“All right. We’ll wait. You think you can do that, baby girl?”

She got the feeling if she was in Little headspace, it might be easier.

“I’ll try, Daddy.”

“Good girl. You tell me if the glitter guilt gets too much and Daddy and Ki-Ki will take care of you.”

“Okay, Daddy.”

“How about we show her the playroom before breakfast?” Loki suggested.

Remy nodded and picked her up, putting her on his hip. Which wasn’t that easy considering that she was wearing an oversized, fluffy dressing gown.

But he managed it.

And then he carried her to the closed door of the bedroom that Loki had been working on all week. She was so excited. Remy put her down and placed his hands over her eyes.

“Ready, baby?” he asked.

“I’m ready! I’m ready!” she cried.

He helped her move forward. Even though she trusted him to make sure she didn’t bump into anything, she still put her hands out in front of her.

“I can’t see anything! My room is invisible!” she said. Yeah, she was being silly. But . . . it was fun! And she needed a bit of silly right now.

Then his hands disappeared and she gasped in shock.

It. Was. Magical.

“Like it, Tink?” Loki asked quietly as her eyes tried to take it all in. The walls were painted white except for one corner where a huge rainbow ran from one wall to the other.

And the ceiling was filled with glow-in-the-dark stars.

In one corner was a crib and changing table along with a rocking chair. Over the other side of the room was a play kitchen along with a small table and chairs and a huge fluffy beanbag chair.

The floor had a white fluffy rug that matched the beanbag.

In the middle of the crib sat Olly.

Of course her men had bought the stuffed toy for her. Was there ever any doubt?

“Ki-Ki! It’s amazing!” She threw herself at him and he caught her with a laugh, spinning her around.

Then he put her down, looking horrified. “Shit. Did that make you dizzy?”

“In the best possible way!” She clapped her hands as she rushed around, looking at everything. There were storage baskets filled with toys. Soft toys. Dolls. Dress-ups.

She loved it all!

“This is so amazing.” She started to sniffle. “But I don’t deserve it.”

To her shock, Loki frowned down at her. Then he swatted her ass twice. Sure, she didn’t feel it. But sometimes it wasn’t always about pain. Sometimes, it was the gesture and the meaning behind it.

A few pops to the butt could be just as meaningful or more so than thirty.

“Ki-Ki?”

“Do not speak like that,” he said sternly. “Understand me? Or you’ll be going into timeout.” He pointed over at where he’d placed a hard-back chair facing the corner. On the back the word ‘timeout’ was painted.
