“Okay. I’m not naïve or anything. I just don’t want to be in for a confrontation or anything.”

“I understand. Now, let’s get going, Enchantress. I can’t wait for them to see how lucky I am.”

Chapter Seven

Cyber

Taking her to meet the rest of the Riders was a big deal. Andrea may have doubts about the sincerity of our relationship, but this isn’t some fling. This is fucking forever. I had made myself clear, but I don’t know if she believed me or not. Andrea is mine, and I’ll do whatever I have to do to prove it.

We pull into the secured gates to find the lot full with all the crew already here. “Looks like we’re the last to arrive.”

Andrea tenses in her seat. “Relax. You play for an entire crowd, and you’re worried about less than three dozen people. You’ll be just fine.” I take her hand and bring it to my lips, kissing the back of her palm.

Stepping out of the truck, I walk around and open the door for my beautiful woman. I’ve just gotten her out of the vehicle when her cousin Bee comes bounding out of the clubhouse, smiling as she races toward Andrea. I press my hand out and hold my woman to my side. “Relax. She’s not going to hurt me.”

“I know that now, but she came barreling at you like a damn defensive tackle.”

“So protective. What were you two up to?” she asks, wagging her eyebrows with a giant smile on her face, so I give her the answer she wants.

“I was trying to breed your cousin so she couldn’t leave me.” I’m not sure if she believes me or not, but I’m dead serious, even if it didn’t go as planned.

“Elijah,” she gasps, slapping my chest.

“Elijah,” Morgan and Crystal say at the same time, looking astounded. I didn’t notice we had an audience growing.

“Holy shit. I totally forgot that was your name.” Mick laughs, shaking his head before shaking my hand. “You must be Andi. Bee has told us a lot about you.”

“This is Mick and Morgan.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you both.”

“Let’s go inside,” I say, taking Andrea’s hand as I lead her inside. We go around the room and introduce her to the rest of the crew, except for Ghost, who is still with his family at the hospital. Everyone else is here tonight so that we can have the meeting. Some of them will go back to the hospital tomorrow to check up on them and give him a break.

The dinner is set up buffet style as per our usual, and we take our seats at the tables or on the sofas. I sit at the table with my woman and her cousin. “Let’s get to know each other, shall we?” her cousin says.

“I suppose. What do you do?” I ask, wanting to know how much she can be trusted when it comes to my woman’s safety.

“I’m Andi’s manager-slash-assistant.”

“And you like that?” I ask.

“Of course. It’s hard work, but we’re close, and I’m so proud of her talents so it’s easy for me to be her promoter.” She scrunches her nose at me and furrows her brows. “Why? You sound suspicious of me.”

“No, just when there’s a stalker and no one knows how they got into the room… well, usually a manager or someone close to them has something to do with it.”

“Maybe an ex?” Blade throws out. I stab my knife into the table and glare at the bastard.

“No. He wouldn’t care to stalk me,” Andrea says offhandedly while I seethe in my chair.

With my teeth clenched, I say, “I need his name.”

“Why?” Andrea asks.

“To rule him out,” I bite out, losing my appetite. I’m going to fuck her pussy tonight for sure. Eating her pussy wasn’t enough. I thought taking it slow would be enough, but no. Hearing about a fucking ex after today was just too much for me. I’m already on edge with this asshole stalker. Whether he’s an ex or a deranged fan or not, I’m going to gut the fucker anyway.

“Can we not do this here?” she says, staring at me with pleading eyes.

“Of course.” I take her hand and bring it to my lips. I’m being an asshole, and I know it. “I’m sorry.”

She’s lost her appetite, and I feel like a prick. “So, do you compose your own pieces?”

“I do have a couple of pieces, but a lot of my music isn’t up to par with the greats.”

“Please. I heard you, and I was mesmerized.”

“Thank you.”

“You do sell to large crowds.”

“Yes, but it’s not just me all the time. I do performances with orchestras.”

“How long have you been playing the piano?” Blade asks.

“Since I was three years old.”

“Are you serious?”

“Yes. My parents took my lessons seriously, and I loved it so much that I never minded.” She doesn’t say it, but I can see she eventually hit her limit. “Well, my career took off recently, and I’ve been doing shows around the country.”
