“Maybe I don’t want to play anymore,” Celia snapped. “And anyway, you can’t know everything about Peter’s family just from a few dreams! I’m still just trying to find a way to fit in with them, that’s all. I’m sure I’ll manage it eventually.”

“You’re never going to fit in with them because you have nothing in common with them,” Fierce predicted. “None of them have ever worked a day in their lives—they just sit around being served without any idea of how hard it is to do the serving.”

“I don’t want to talk about this anymore,” Celia said stiffly.

“Fine—should I ask you something else?” Fierce said. “Since you didn’t really answer my question about Peter’s family?”

“Fine,” Celia muttered through a clenched jaw. And to think, she’d been feeling so close to both of them! Now she wanted to elbow the Dark Twin in his hurt ribs again! But somehow, she held herself back.

“All right—here’s another ‘Truth’ question,” Fierce said. He leaned closer to her, his eyes glowing. “Have you ever been with two males at once before?”

“What?” The question threw her, Celia had to admit. She never would have expected it.

“You heard me,” Fierce growled. “Answer the question.”

“No—of course not!” Celia exclaimed. “What do you think I am, anyway?”

“What is that supposed to mean?” Fierce demanded. “You’re acting like I asked you something offensive.”

“It is! Or at least, it’s not really common among humans,” Celia protested.

“Human males don’t have the biological need to share mates the way we do, Brother,” Hold remarked. “I believe that many of them see a relationship with two males and one female as perverted in some way—simply because it isn’t natural to them.”

“Perverted? Why would it be perverted?” Fierce growled.

“Because being with two guys at once is kind of…I don’t know, slutty. At least it used to be considered slutty—people are doing all kinds of things, these days,” Celia tried to explain. “But still, if I met someone and she was in a relationship with two guys at the same time—two human guys, anyway—I still wouldn’t think it was normal. I mean, good for her if that’s what she likes, but it’s definitely not for everyone, you know?”

“No, I don’t know,” Fierce growled. “How can humans judge people for having a loving three-way relationship but justify putting children in dangerous situations with sexual predators?”

Celia sighed.

“You know, that’s a really good question. I don’t know.”

“I think this game has gotten a little off track,” Hold said, looking down at her. “It’s been a while since Celia got to ask a question. Why don’t you ask us something, my lady?” he added courteously.

“All right, Hold,” she said, feeling relieved. “Truth or Dare?”

“Truth,” he replied. “Ask me anything, my lady. Surely you must have questions about us.”

“Oh well…actually, I do have a question but it’s kind of personal.” Celia bit her lip. Should she ask what she was thinking?

“Ask then. Anything I can answer, I will,” Hold promised. “No matter how personal.”

“Well…” Celia squirmed a little, aware all over again that she was naked between them. “I…I still don’t understand how you two can, er, fit with a human woman,” she said at last. “I mean, you’re both so big and I’m assuming your, er, equipment matches your size, so…” She trailed off, leaving her question hanging.

To her surprise, both brothers began to laugh—low, rumbling chuckles that were impossible not to like, even if they did seem to be laughing at her.

“What? What’s so funny?” Celia asked.

“Forgive me, my lady,” Hold said at last. “But it’s actually a very simple matter and you don’t have to be embarrassed to ask us.”

“Who says I’m embarrassed?” Celia demanded, frowning up at them.

“Your scent does,” Fierce said. “You’re almost as embarrassed as you were a minute again when I asked if you’d ever been with two males at once.”

“Well…it’s kind of an intimate question,” Celia said defensively. “And you still haven’t answered it,” she added, looking up at Hold pointedly.

“Oh yes, forgive me. We use Bonding Fruit,” the Light Twin told her. “It’s a special kind of fruit that we’ve cultivated on Twin Moons for centuries—ever since the Twin Kindred started sharing mates. It allows a woman who eats it to, er, stretch and to take both her mate’s shafts without pain—no matter how big they are.”

“Oh…okay, that makes sense.” Celia nodded. “But…well…” She hesitated.

“Ask, lelka—we can tell you have another question,” Fierce rumbled.

“Okay. How do you do it?” Celia asked. “I mean, do you each go in, er, separate holes? Or do you both try to go in one? Because that sounds painful no matter what kind of fruit you eat!”

“It’s not though—not if a bride has been properly prepared,” Hold murmured, his glowing eyes going half-lidded as he looked down at her. “The mate of Twin Kindred will need lots of tasting and touching to make her ready to receive both of her males—especially during her first time with them.”
