With my mind calmer, I turn and walk away from Teddy’s grave. I take my cell out of my back pocket and dial an old familiar number. I don’t smile, but a part of me is tempted to when I hear Giles’s voice.

“Hey, Lenny.”

“I need your help.”

“The usual?”

“Yeah, but I need two identities. One of them I’d like to keep the first name Lennox. I need it to be top tier, though. It will be looked into deeply, I’m sure.”

“Honey, you know all my work is top tier.”

“Just go above and beyond this time, okay? I’ll send you the details I need for her background.”

“You got it. Any preferences on the second name?”

“I want the name Teddy. Make me a something useless, an air-headed heiress or something. I don’t really care. I just need it to be airtight.”

“Lenny…”

“I’m putting an end to everything, and when it happens, I’m going to walk away. I’m doing it with my brother in the only way I can now, Giles.”

“Fuck, honey…”

“Will you do this for me, please?”

“It will be my best work.”

“Send it to my usual address. I’ll wire you the money. This is not on the company bill, Giles.”

“It’s free, Lenny.”

“But—”

“No buts. These fools hurt my girl. This one is on me.”

“I don’t need it for a couple of months. There are still some loose ends I need to tie up here.”

“I’ll make sure it’s ready.”

“I love you, Giles.”

“I love you, too, Lenny Lou. Talk soon.”

“Soon,” I whisper and hang up.

I put my phone back in my pocket and sigh. Life will never go back to normal. From here on out, I’ll depend on no one. There’s just me. It’s better this way.

I’m all alone and it’s time I get used to it.

Chapter 1

Lennox

One Year Later

With an army duffle bag thrown over his shoulder, he steps off the plane. He’s so damn broad he barely fits through the door of the small private plane. Wearing a black henley that is stretched across his massive frame in a delicious way, he draws eyes from everyone—including mine. He has dark hair and a scruffy beard that needs a good trim. Worn blue jeans seem to cling to his body in all the right ways. He has on a brown leather bomber jacket and a pair of well-worn motorcycle boots.

Despite his stature, he seemingly glides down the steps of the plane. He reminds me of a jungle cat—full of grace, stealthy, and always on the prowl for its next kill.

Ghost.

He’s the newest patched member of the recently renamed Titans of Hell MC. He’s back from a quick trip to Greece, where he’s been doing work for the DeLuca family. When I received word the Titans of Hell motorcycle club had patched in a member from Miami, I knew this was my chance. The bad thing is I had to bide my time to find a way in with the guy. It’s been impossible since he’s been in Greece, and even freaking Boston, more than he’s been here. He’s the perfect mark, so I can’t rush it. Ghost is exactly what I need—a weak link.

I’ve been searching for a different way in, but nothing is working out. I thought it could be their new president, E-Z. He’s hot. I could crawl into bed with him easily enough, get him to open up, and find out what I needed. That was plan number one. Then, the asshole had to fall for some red-headed, flower child—who fell straight out of the seventies—named Liberty. His obsession with her shot my plan all to hell. Sure, there are other members in the club, but with E-Z being new, he's not going to trust any of them easily. Normally, I’d be willing to wait—especially when it comes to this assignment. After all, I’ve been biding my time for a while now, trying to get into the club through a prospect, but that’s getting me nowhere fast. I have a fire burning inside me. I want vengeance and now I know Ghost is the key. Intel says he was called up here by E-Z himself, which means he’ll be trusted more than the other members. There’s internal conflict within the club, even after a year of E-Z being at the helm. Ghost will help me work around that. Hell, I can even use it to my advantage.

I suppose I should worry about how close the club seems to be working with the Bratva—specifically Ivan. I can’t. Nothing can keep me from my goal. I made a promise a year ago to avenge my brother and I won’t stop now. I will admit I hoped to have it done by now. It hasn’t worked out like I wanted, but finally, the end is in sight.

Some would call me mercenary. Others might say I am heartless, or even a whore. Those who know me, know the truth. I’m a cold-blooded killer. I’m also damn good at my job. I’m the bitch people call when they want rid of someone but are too fucking chicken to get their hands dirty.
