For every two punches I land, he gets one in on me back, most of which hit my ribs. It hurts like hell, but I won’t rest until I’ve beat this asshole to a pulp. I bellow and scream at him as I punish him for touching her.

“Callum!”

Willa’s voice, a terrified sob in her throat, cuts through my vengeful haze. I want to go to her. To hold her against me and never let go.

“I hear sirens,” Spencer says. “A neighbor must have called the cops.”

My throat is hoarse from yelling and calling Levi every name in the book. No wonder the cops were called. Fuck.

“Go,” I growl to my nephew. “Take Dempsey and go.”

“So you can take the fall for this dipshit?” Spencer bites back. “No. You need to go. There’s a lot more on the line for you.”

Levi moans in pain but keeps trying to punch me. Before I can land another hit, Dempsey grabs me by the collar of my shirt, dragging me away.

“Let go,” I snarl. “I said fucking let me go!”

He shoves me away and then Spencer takes hold of my shirt, keeping me from attacking Levi. Willa, trembling and crying, hugs the blanket to her naked chest. My heart cracks down the middle.

She’ll never be safe here.

Never.

Which is why he should die.

I lunge for Levi again as he attempts to stand. Dempsey beats me to the punch. Literally. He rams his fist into Levi’s gut, causing him to howl in pain. I watch with satisfaction as Dempsey lands a couple more punches, this time to Levi’s battered face.

“Get him out of here,” Dempsey bellows. “The sirens are getting louder. He can’t be here when they get here.”

I attempt to reach for Willa, but she shakes her head. “He’s right. Go!”

Spencer hauls me toward the window and practically pushes me out of it. I stumble over my feet but recover shortly after going through it. He shoves me toward my car. When I make it over to it, he stops and levels me with a fierce stare.

“We’ll take care of this,” he vows. “Promise. Just go home.”

I want to stay and continue to beat the hell out of Levi. I want to stay and hold my sweet girl. But if I stay, I’m most definitely going to jail for fucking up a minor. In his own home. And said minor is going to rat me out for being with Willa.

If I want to see Willa, I have to keep a low profile.

“Don’t let him touch her,” I growl.

“He won’t. Now go.”

As soon as Spencer is sure I’m climbing into my car, he takes off running back toward the house. I turn the ignition but don’t drive away immediately. Everything aches in me to charge back inside—to finish off that piece of shit so he’ll never be a threat again. I’m just considering it when I see the flashing of red and blue lights. Against my better judgment, I slowly drive away.

The entire drive home, I’m numb.

Completely fucking numb.

Not knowing anything about how Willa is doing is going to drive me insane.

I drive all the way home in a trance. I’m not even sure I remember driving at all. Just one minute I was parked outside of Willa’s and now I’m in my garage. Dazed and depleted of energy after my adrenaline crash, I climb out of my car and slam the door shut.

“Callum?”

The young voice confuses me for a second. I’m almost certain it’s Willa, which is impossible, but then I see my sister standing in the open garage door behind my car.

“Gemma.” I scrub a palm over my face. “You should go home.”

She huffs and storms over to me. “You’re hurt.”

“You should see the other guy.”

Our eyes meet and though there’s no humor in my words, she grins. “Levi?”

Grinding my teeth together, I give her a curt nod. “How’d you know?”

She rolls her eyes in that dramatic teenage way that irritates me to no end. “I’m not an idiot. Let’s go inside so I can look at your hand. Your knuckles are bleeding.”

I follow her because I know my sister. Gemma won’t relent. And right now, I need the company so I don’t do anything regrettable like drive back over there.

“He had it coming,” Gemma says when we reach the kitchen. “That guy is such a douchebag. And you’re a Park. If someone messes with your girl, you’re not going to sit around and let it happen.”

I stiffen at her words.

“Please,” Gemma mutters. “Like I said, I’m not an idiot. Plus, Willa told me you two are fucking.”

“Gemma,” I growl in warning.

“Chill,” she sasses. “She said it…nicer than that, but it’s what you’re doing.”

I don’t argue or deny her words, unsure where all this is going. She smirks as she turns on the kitchen sink. I let her guide my hand under the stream of cold water.
