“I love you, too,” he says. “And I plan to bring you chocolate more often, if this is the reaction I get.”

I laugh and pull back, rifle through the plastic bag until I find the moisturizer and mascara, and then hurry into the bathroom to finish getting ready.

“Is everyone coming to lunch?” I call out to him.

“No, some people were in a hurry to get onto the ski hill,” he replies. I can hear him changing his clothes. “We’re going with my sisters, their guys, and Ike and Sophie.”

“Cool.” With one last brush of the mascara wand, I return to the bedroom and catch Drew tugging on a dry shirt.

Those abs get me every single time.

“I’m ready.”

“Me, too.” He looks up at me, and his eyes turn hot.

“We don’t have time for another roll on the bed,” I inform him, reading his expression perfectly.

“Let’s go get this over with so I can get you back here,” he replies.

“I like her,” Josie decides, watching me from across the table as she eats a chicken wing. “She can stay. In fact, I might like you more than I like him.”

“Hey,” Drew says with a frown. “You’re my sister.”

“Yeah, well, you’re kind of annoying most of the time,” Maddie, the other twin, reminds him. “I hope we get to meet Caleb soon. Mom and Dad said he’s the cutest ever.”

“He’s pretty great,” I agree with a big smile. “We’ll have you all over for dinner soon. I’m also planning on hosting a holiday party, and I hope everyone will come.”

“The whole family?” Brax asks, blinking in surprise. “That’s a lot of people.”

“It’s a big house,” I reply with a smile. “We can make it work. Now, how did you guys all meet? You, too, Ike and Sophie. I want to know everything.”

“Brax and I have been on and off again since high school,” Josie says, smiling at her husband. “We were off again, and then I heard him telling lies on the radio, and he landed in my ER.”

“She was pining for me,” Brax replies, grinning at his wife.

“In your dreams.” Josie pats Brax’s cheek, making him laugh.

“That’s sweet,” I say with a sigh and turn to Maddie and Dylan. “What about you two?”

“Airplane,” Dylan says. “We were both headed to Iceland for Christmas. She’s a workaholic, and I told her to just enjoy being in first class. And I might have taken her to the restroom to show her how.”

“Maddie,” Sophie breathes. “You didn’t tell us that you joined the mile-high club.”

“Dude,” Drew says, glaring at Dylan. “That’s my sister.”

“You don’t even want to know what we’ve done since then,” Dylan responds with a wink.

“He’s bossy,” Maddie adds but smiles at her husband with adoration. “I ended up spending more time with Dylan than the rest of the family on that trip. I thought it was just vacation sex.”

“Turns out,” Dylan adds, “it was the rest-of-our-lives sex.”

“That should go on a greeting card,” Sophie decides with a laugh. “Okay, our turn. Ike ran into me at a park.”

I turn to Ike in surprise. “You hit on her in a park?”

“No, I literally crashed into her. We were both jogging, and I didn’t see her. Laid her out flat.” He looks very proud of himself.

“My ass still hurts from that,” Sophie mutters with a wince. “Then, I saw him later that day at my uncle Will’s place. I’m happy to report that he’s never assaulted me since.”

I can’t help but laugh at that. “Good to hear. Ike’s a big guy. He could do some damage.”

“Don’t I know it,” Sophie replies. “He’s honestly the best. I’m really lucky that he crashed into me.”

“Aww, babe. That’s the sweetest thing you’ve ever said about me.” Ike kisses her hard on the mouth, then turns to Drew and me. “We know how you two met.”

“Office romances are always so romantic,” Maddie says, reaching for another chicken wing. “Do you sneak off to have sex in your office every chance you get?”

I press my lips together but can’t contain the laughter. “No, not yet.”

“Oh, honey,” Sophie reaches out and covers my hand with her own. “Then you’re doing it wrong.”

“I don’t think that I want to know what’s going on in my boss’s office,” Ike says thoughtfully.

“Yes, exactly,” I agree, pointing at Ike. “That horrible woman who owned the team before us disrespected that office for years. She sexually harassed employees—”

My eyes grow wide when I realize I just said that out loud, and I clap my hand over my mouth.

“You can’t repeat that,” I insist immediately, waving my hands in front of my face. “That’s privileged information, and it can’t go any further. Shit, I can’t believe I just said that.”

I rub my fingers into my forehead in agitation and feel someone reach out and touch my arm.
