“They’re being sweet, not stripping each other naked.” Parker rolled his eyes.

“Well, apparently, sweet does it for my cock. Who knew?”

“Oh good God.” Marcus rubbed a hand over his face.

“Jealous, baby? You can be sweet to me if you want,” Corbin teased Marcus, who pretended to gag, and that easily, the subject was changed.

We ate dinner in the living room, then went out to sit on the beach for a while. Marcus started a fire in his rock-lined pit, even though it was warm and we didn’t need it.

“I think I’m going to take a break from dating,” Parker said, and his three friends laughed. Parker turned to me. “Thank you, Sebastian, for believing in me and not being an asshole.”

Declan said, “It’s not that we don’t believe in you, but we’ve heard it before. You want the happily-ever-after, and that’s hard to find if you don’t go out with people.” Declan kissed Parker’s forehead, and Parker laid his head on Dec’s shoulder.

“I know, but I think it’s time. I went out with this guy three times. I didn’t tell you all because…well, because you’re assholes.”

“I’m sorry. You know you can tell us anything,” Corbin said, and Marcus added, “We got your back.”

“Anyway, I wasn’t like in love with the guy or anything. We only went out three times, after all, but I liked him and thought it might work out…that he was a good guy, ya know? But he wasn’t.”

“Did he hurt you?” Declan asked, a tightness to his voice I’d never heard before.

“No, not like that. You know I would kick his ass if he tried, but he asked to borrow money. When I said no, he ghosted me…stopped answering my calls and texts. Then he blocked me online.”

“Sounds like a piece of shit and that you dodged a bullet,” Marcus told him.

“For sure, but clearly, something’s up. I attract the worst possible people, and it was just the proof I needed that it’s time to take a break. No more men. Not for a long while. I’m just glad I didn’t fuck him.”

“That’s why I just fuck them,” Corbin countered, and then, “I love you.”

“I love you too,” Parker told him.

Declan, Marcus, and Corbin were glancing back and forth between the three of them, as if having a silent conversation, born from a lifetime of friendship. Declan kissed my cheek, then winked at me, and suddenly he was standing and the others were too. Marcus picked Parker up and tossed him over his shoulder, carrying him like a sack of potatoes.

“Oh my God! Stop it! Put me down!” Parker screamed, laughing, but they didn’t.

Declan tugged me to my feet, and they all started running toward the ocean, Declan pulling me with him. They crashed into the water, dunking Parker, who burst through the surface, laughing and trying to attack his friends.

We played out there for a while, the way kids would. Eventually, we settled down, and I wrapped my arms and legs around Declan. He gripped my ass, holding me against him.

He leaned close and kissed me, and a moment later the two of us were attacked by his friends.

My friends now too.

I didn’t want this to ever end.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

Declan

I smiled into Sebastian’s hair, his ass pressed tight against my morning wood and my arm wrapped around his waist. I couldn’t say it was a bad thing to wake up with an ass rubbing against my dick in the morning. Having it be his ass was fucking awesome.

I was so totally gone for him and didn’t hate it.

I liked it.

“Mmm…I feel something nice.” Sebastian pushed back against me.

I growled, rolling to my back and pulling him with me. Sebastian straddled me, looked down at me with messy hair and so much care in his eyes that I couldn’t wrap my head around having that directed at me. Why in the fuck had he chosen me?

He kissed me. “I think…” Kissed my left nipple. “I want.” Then my right. “To suck your dick. I need my protein in the morning.”

I groaned because I had to piss, but I really, really wanted what he was offering. Sebastian’s mouth started to trail down my torso, when his phone rang. We ignored it, him nuzzling my cock and balls as he settled between my legs, when it rang a second time.

He frowned. “I should see who that is since they called twice in a row.” Sebastian kissed my shaft, then leaned toward the nightstand to grab his cell. “It’s Cliff. I have a shit ton of missed texts too. I need to see what’s going on.” His voice was rough with concern that hadn’t been there a moment ago.

“Of course.”

Sebastian sat on the edge of the bed and answered. “Hello?” There was loud yelling through the phone, but I couldn’t make out the words. My gut dropped when Sebastian turned to look at me, pupils blown wide, before he closed his eyes and said, “I’ll handle it.”
