This couldn’t be happening. Only, it was. He was doing this to her.
“What game are you playing?” she asked.
“I’m not playing any game.”
“Blaze, I’m not some … I’m not … don’t…”
“Don’t what?” he asked.
“I don’t know why you’re doing this.”
She gasped as he grabbed her wrist. Not once did he take his eyes off the road. Panic filled her, but then he pressed her palm against his cock.
“Feel that?”
He was so hard.
“That’s why I’m doing this.”
“But I’m not your type.”
This made him laugh. “And what makes you think you’re not my type, Fay?”
“I’ve seen the women you’ve … been with.”
“You have?” he asked.
“They’re always blonde and beautiful, and…” She couldn’t bring herself to say the last part.
“You’re wrong, Fay. My type is sitting right next to me.”
He jerked the car to the right, and they came around a smooth bend.
Blaze lived in a nice apartment. Blair had told her about it many times. He worked as a bouncer at some kind of strip club, and Blair said it paid well. Fay was starting to wonder if it was the money from his fighting that actually paid well.
He parked the car, opened his door, and climbed out.
Fay didn’t want to get out of the car but saw she had no choice. After grabbing the handle, she stepped out of the car and slammed the door.
Blaze reached for her hand.
She didn’t know if she was ever going to get used to this. He’d gone from not touching her to seeming to always touch her within a matter of hours.
Blaze walked up to his building and put a key into one of the locks, letting them in.
Neither of them spoke as he made his way to the elevator and stepped inside. He clicked the button for the third floor.
Her heart began to pound, but she tried to ignore it, staring at the numbers as they lit up. It wasn’t long before the door opened, and then they stepped off and came face to face with his apartment door.
Blaze had another key, and he turned the lock, letting them inside.
She watched as he tossed the key onto a small table he had near the door, and then he pressed her against the door.
They stared at each other as he flicked the locks into place, his body so hard against hers. Seconds passed after he slid the bolt into place.
He stared at her. Waiting.
She was curious as to what was going on inside his head.
He suddenly stepped away, but he grabbed both of her hands, leading her into his apartment. She didn’t look away from him, but she got the sense that it was a nice space.
“Why do you fight?” she asked.
“What were you doing at the fight?”
“Answer my question.”
He chuckled. “You shouldn’t have come.”
“I didn’t want to. I just wanted to go home.” She sank her teeth into her lip, wishing she hadn’t admitted to quite so much.
He chuckled. “That’s good to know, but your dating stops now.”
“You can’t tell me what to do.”
“Not only am I telling you what to do, you’re going to do it. Otherwise, I am going to ruin every single date you dare to defy me on.”
She shook her head, but Blaze tugged her against his body. He let go of her hands, and he grabbed her ass with both.
“Because you and I, Fay, are about to come to an arrangement of our own.”
“We are?” She was struggling to keep up.
This was crazy. Blaze was never like this. Not with her, not with anyone.
He chuckled. “Yeah, we are.” He kissed the tip of her nose.
“I’m not sure I’m keeping up with you.”
“That’s okay. I can be a very patient man.” He kissed her again before moving so his face was against her neck. He pressed his face there and breathed in. “You smell so fucking good. Better than I ever imagined.”
He imagined things about her?
Blaze nibbled at her neck, and she gave a soft moan. Her neck had always been sensitive, but with how he traced his lips over her skin, she didn’t think she could focus, not on any one thing.
As she closed her eyes, Blaze’s lips traveled down, going toward her chest. He released a growl.
“Blaze, I don’t know what is going on,” she said.
“Simple, I have watched those pathetic men come in and out of your life. You going on dates, and I can tell you that stops now.”
She wanted to argue with him, but Blaze kept on going, and what he said next took her completely by surprise. “You’re mine, Fay. I’m tired of playing this dance with you. You’re mine to fuck and play with, and I’m done waiting.”
“What?” she asked.
“Tell me you don’t want me.”
She frowned. They were moving incredibly fast.
With how good his lips felt, she didn’t want him to stop, but she had to get a hold of herself. Was she asleep right now? She bit the inside of her mouth and nearly brought tears to her eyes.
