I quickly drop my shirt back into place, not wanting to think about it, because honestly, a nasty scar is better than a grave any day. I need to be thankful that I’m still breathing, that I’ve been given this chance to live a long and happy life with the four guys who have somehow fallen in love with me.

Knowing damn well I’m not going to be able to fix this train wreck until I have the energy to properly shower and wash my hair, I step out of the bathroom, taking it slow. I pass the bedroom door and find my way out to the living room where Zade sits back on the couch, his sharp gaze locked out the window, keeping us safe.

Hearing me in the room, Zade looks back at me, and his brows furrow. “What are you doing out of bed?” he questions, that deep tone rumbling right through my chest. “You should be resting.”

I shake my head and keep making my way toward him before pressing my knee to the couch cushion beside his thigh and straddling his lap. His hands automatically fall to my waist as he watches me, my gaze locked on his, a seriousness falling between us. “You gave up everything you’ve worked for to save me,” I whisper, still unable to believe the words coming out of my mouth. “Everything that you’ve done and sacrificed, all the work and the hours preparing yourself. You’ve dreamed about rising in power, you took your own father’s life just to get one step closer, and you gave it all up just so I could live.”

Zade nods, his hand curling around the side of my neck as his thumb strikes out, brushing across my jaw. “I don’t want any of it if I can’t have you,” he murmurs, his eyes so full of love. “You don’t know just how much I’m willing to sacrifice just to see you live another day. I love you, Lamb, and I’m done holding back from you.”

I lean into him, dropping my forehead against his as my hands rest against his wide chest. “Zade?” I question. He lifts his chin, his lips barely a breath away from mine, silently asking what I need. “Hurry up and kiss me.”

A soft groan rumbles through his chest and without hesitation, Zade closes the gap, fusing his lips to mine in the most passionate kiss he’s ever given me. His lips move so perfectly with mine as his arm winds around me, holding me close while being so gentle. “I need to feel you inside me,” I breathe into his mouth.

“No, Lamb. Not so soon after surgery,” he says. “You’re not ready, and I don’t want to hurt you.”

“You won’t,” I promise him, knowing there’s not a thing Zade DeVil could ever do to hurt me. Not now. “Just take it slow. Just let me feel you.”

With that, Zade reaches down between us, tearing my panties right off my body as my oversized T-shirt hangs low around my hips. Then with skilled ease, he releases his cock from the confines of his pants, and as his lips come back to mine, I rise up on my knees and he guides himself to my entrance.

Feeling his tip against me, I slowly sink down over him, needing that closeness like never before, loving him to extents I didn’t even know were possible.

I suck in a soft gasp as my walls stretch around him, sinking all the way down and already feeling my body begin to tremble. Needing to feel that undeniable pleasure, I slowly rock my hips while keeping the rest of me as still as possible, terrified of hurting myself further, but Zade would never allow that to happen.

It’s slow and sensual, our hungry kisses fueling the fire between us. His arms hold me secure and safe against him, and when we finally find our release, it’s more than I could have ever needed.

The high rocks through me like the most sensual explosion, and I tip my head back as it works through my body. Zade’s lips trail over my neck, the intensity growing, and as he empties himself inside of me, I’ve never felt more alive.

When we’re finally done, Zade settles me down on the couch beside him, the boys appearing from deeper in the house with blankets and pillows. Then before I know it, they’ve made me a makeshift bed right beside him, my head in his lap and his fingers in my hair as the UberEats driver shows up at the door, more than ready to feed me for the first time in over two days.

Chapter 29

OAKLEY

Stepping out of the shower, my gaze sails over my body. We’ve been holed up in Zade’s safe house for a few days now, and so far, it’s driving me insane. We can’t do anything, can’t go anywhere, and with the boys determined to see me heal as fast as humanly possible, we can’t even fuck.
