Sparks of those days, so long ago, wormed their way into his head and he could feel himself losing control, but it was simply meant to be. Sometimes, folks must lose themselves to find the freedom they need.

“And then, you made me lie there in the piss. The next mornin’, you told my mother I pissed the bed, and she yelled at me while you got all the sheets up, to take ’em to the laundromat. Then you told her in such a sweet, calm, voice, ‘Paula, don’t be too mad at him. He was thirsty last night, so I brought him some juice. Too bad he didn’t make it in time to the bathroom,” and you winked at me before leavin’ the house, as she was whoopin’ me with that whip you’d bought from the flea market.

“This right here is some piss, Luis. It’s pig piss. One of a kind! I imagine it’s aged like fine wine, too.”

Legend cackled as he shook the jug about. He then placed it down on the ground and marched over to Luis, who was dressed only in a pair of soiled underwear. He undid his shackles and handcuffs with a different key, then forced him onto the surgical table. Luis began to mumble incoherently. After Legend had secured the bastard, his wrists and ankles clamped to the table, he grabbed the jug of pig urine, and poured it all over him.

The man writhed about, closing his eyes as the yellow secretion ran down his face.

“You like that, Luis? Yeaahhhh… I imagine you and pigs are closely related, so it shouldn’t be no problem. I wanted to give you something you’re used to! Do you know that I dreamed about killin’ you for the majority of my life? It’s important to dream, Luis. Dreams become goals. Goals become plans. Plans become reality.

“What a reunion. It’s literally a dream come true! See, I made some bad decisions in my life, but there was a silver lining in one of ’em. The prison reform system don’t reform nobody—they just make us better criminals. My good ol’ Uncle Ortiz found my ass and hipped me to some game. Now, of course, anyone who knows Ortiz knows he’s a businessman first, family be damned. I can respect that. He told me one day, anything I needed, he had me. That was after I refused money and gifts from him. Yeah… lesson learned, right? You taught me well. Then, one day, he told me he didn’t have any sons, only daughters, and he wanted me to be a part of the family business, so to speak.

“He said my father wasn’t like me and him, but that I had that leader spirit, I told him then, and many times afterwards, that I would pass on that. Over time, I found out what ol’ Uncle Ortiz was really about. Before he was released from prison, he told me that if I ever needed help, or was in trouble, to let him know. I did in fact have a little project I was working on. I had been watching your ass, keepin’ tabs on you from a distance, but I wanted some alone time with you… one on one. There could be no fuck ups. No trace. No evidence. He said, ‘Nephew! I got you! Whatever plan you have, I can help you with it. Say no more.’

“Now, I’m a businessman too, Luis. I understand how these things work. So, you have to be careful what you tell folks… even family. Funny, you were living a nice, quiet life here, huh? Out of the spotlight. That’s because another little boy you’d molested was singin’ like a bird, only his mama believed him, so that changed everything. Off to the cops they went. Then another little boy came forward, sayin’ the same thing. And another. And another. This was long after you were finished with me, and had broken up with my mother when I was no longer of use to you. I was in my teens by the time this all hit the fan.

“You had you some new blood. Once word got back that you might be in trouble after years of molesting and raping little boys, you were outta there, on the first thang smokin’. See, the police had found evidence. They went to your apartment after you’d already jumped ship, leavin’ a bunch of stuff behind, and found videos of you with children. But nobody could find you. You changed your name, came to Puerto Rico, to a different city, and started over. But the past always comes back to haunt us, don’t it, Luis? The promises we make must be kept, and I promised myself that I was going to find you, track you down like the fuckin’ wild pig that you are… and give you a taste of your own medicine.”
