He searched through the drawer where he stored a few extra clothes to change into when he visited, but I wrapped my arms around him and threw him back onto the bed, forcing a few more kisses on him.

“So greedy for Hot Lips this evening,” he noted. “We’ll have plenty of time once we get back to pick up where we left off.”

“You mean with your studies? Because I’m fairly certain you’ll have your head buried in these books as soon as we get back.”

“Well, if you’d like to review some Chem flashcards with me, I promise to make it worth your while.”

He glanced down at his ass.

“Oh, I like that idea very much,” I confessed. We had so many games we played, which helped him study and fortunately resulted in us both getting off whether he got the answers right or wrong. They weren’t just fun and naughty sex games; they were delicious opportunities to share more time with him...and it certainly didn’t kill me to add a few more factoids to my memory bank.

“And we have to watch another episode of Schitt’s Creek.”

They were short, funny episodes of a show we’d discovered together on his Netflix subscription, so they were perfect for particularly busy nights like tonight.

Keeg twisted up his face, asking, “You think we could watch more Game of Thrones?”

“Are you serious? My life is Game of Thrones!”

He burst into a laugh, and some innate part of me inspired me to lick his cheek. He noticed the maneuver but went on as he usually would have. “Your life is so not Game of Thrones…like at all. But please, please, please let me watch the one I’m on.”

“It’s not my fault you refused to watch the series with your friends because you wanted to binge-watch it when the series had finished.”

“Come on. We keep watching those first twenty minutes and then…”

“…and then I have better uses for your body.” I grabbed his cock, which was stiff again. “Jesus, I forgot what it’s like to be young.”

He rolled his eyes. “Yeah, I think my ass can attest to your energy and stamina.”

“I’m certain I’m mostly leeching it off you.”

In some ways it was true. Not because of his age, but because of this fiery chemistry that we kept working up as we continued seeing one another.

“I guess I should be saving Game of Thrones for when I’m all by my lonesome when you head back to Parlaisa,” Keegan noted.

I’d had to commute occasionally, but I’d managed to stay in Fever Falls more often than not.

“Aw, when my Hot Lips is missing me?”

He rolled his eyes.

“Say it. Say you miss me when I’m gone.”

“You know I miss you,” he reluctantly shared.

“I miss you when I’m gone too, Keegan.” I kissed him again, not even wanting to think about having to head back home when I enjoyed the second life I was creating with him in this wonderful place.

“But as enamored as I am with you, I’m afraid I’m about to do something horribly wicked,” I confessed.

“What? Oh, no, no!” But just as soon, I had my hand under his arm, and he was in stitches.

I doubted I had ever known myself to be as happy as I was in such simple moments shared with Keegan, but as Keegan’s phone buzzed with a text message, our good time came to an end as he said, “Shit.”

“What?”

“Ice machine busted at work, and my boss, Benny, sent a group text to the staff to see if any of us could bring some over. You mind if we leave early and grab some?”

“Mind? I would love to!”

“You would love to go to work with me?”

“Keegan, I love being a part of every aspect of your life. Like volunteering with you at the shelter and watching you get all adorable about the new Shih Tzus.”

He blushed, surely embarrassed at how overly affectionate he’d been with the seven Shih Tzus added to the shelter’s family the previous weekend.

But he shouldn’t have been, considering most things he did had a way of making me that much more infatuated with him.

“It’s kind of a good thing there are so many cute ones there. I think it’s the only thing keeping me from picking one to adopt.”

On the way to Fever Pitch, we swung by the gas station, where I saw two guys standing at the ice freezer out front, throwing bags over their shoulders.

“Hey, what’s up, guys?” Keegan said as he stepped out of the car and approached them. “Did you get a text from Benny too, Jude?” The guy he asked had brownish-blond hair, and I’d seen him hanging around town with motocross celebrity Rush Alexander.

“He had Fever’s back a few months ago when the same thing happened to us,” Jude said, “so I wasn’t about to let him down now that the shoe’s on the other foot.”
