When he ripped his lips from hers, she couldn’t hold back her feelings anymore. “I love you!”

“I love you, too, Cookie. I’m never letting my Little girl go.”

He withdrew and surged back into her, driving the breath from her lungs. She clung to him as they moved against each other. The sensations built deep in her abdomen. She needed to come.

“Daddy! Help me,” she pleaded, feeling on edge and needing something more.

He slid a hand between her legs. That rock-roughened thumb brushed back and forth over her clit, giving Sadie the last push she needed to explode. He gentled his thrusts to extend her orgasm. When her fingers curled into the skin of his shoulders, Rocco repeated the process to build the tingles inside her back up to a critical point. He kept her there until she squirmed under him, begging him to let her come.

“Please, Daddy.”

“Come with me, Sadie,” he ordered before thrusting fully into her in long quick movements. His thick cock brushed rapidly over those sensitive spots as his touch stimulated her directly.

With a scream into the empty room, she felt herself clamp around his shaft as her orgasm overwhelmed her.

“Sadie!” he shouted a moment later as she felt warmth jet into the protective sheath.

Sweet kisses and whispered I love yous followed as he kept her close. Cuddled on his chest, Sadie wished she could stay in his arms forever. Yawning, she closed her eyes and dropped into a deep sleep.

Sadie stretched a hand out toward her Daddy and felt only cold sheets. Blinking her eyes open in confusion, she registered that the space was too quiet for him to be in the apartment. He must have gone to the common area, letting her sleep late.

She glanced at the time and panicked. It was way past time for her to be at the front desk. Launching herself out of bed, her heart responded to her panic and pounded in Sadie’s chest. Every muscle in her body ached as she forced herself to move quickly.

“Ouch, ouch, ouch,” she chanted as she ran into the closet on feet that felt like they had been jammed into tiny cracks in a bluff to support her weight.

Snatching clothes willy-nilly from her hangers, Sadie found herself putting on the black pants and neon pink top. Too late to change, she stepped into the pumps on the closet floor, grabbed a comb and her phone, and ran toward the door, yelling, “Sorry, Daddy. I’m late.”

Her chant resumed immediately as she stepped into the hallway and then the elevator. “Ouch, ouch, ouch!”

It wasn’t until the door closed that she realized the common area had been completely abandoned. When the elevator reopened on the ground floor, she limped to her desk and waved her hands frantically in front of the security camera. Immediately, her cell rang. A name appeared on her phone that wasn’t the one she wanted to see.

“What’s wrong?” Magnus asked. His voice was steady as it always was. Nothing seemed to rattle or amuse him. The thought had popped into her mind days ago that he had hung around computers so long he’d become mechanical.

“Oh, thank goodness. You’re there.”

“Yes. I could better help the team from here than I could in the States.”

“The team went to the States?” she asked, staring at the security camera as if she were staring at Magnus.

“Yes.”

“Rocco left without telling me?”

“Check your phone, Sadie. He left a voice message for you.”

“I’m all alone?”

“I’m here, Sadie. I’ll make sure you’re safe.”

She shook her head. It wasn’t the same. She knew Magnus would fight any adversary to keep her from danger, but… “I want my Daddy,” she whispered.

“I know. It’s going to be okay, Sadie. The team’s going to take care of the problem that keeps following you. It’s already started. They’re going to make sure it’s finished this time before more men can be sent after you.”

“Finished? Started? What are you talking about? They’re not going after Sylvester Pushkin? That’s suicide. He has all sorts of goons around him,” she said in shock.

“Trust your Daddy. He’ll come home to you and bring the rest of the team. Listen to your voicemail.”

“And then what? Try to work while I worry that he’s being killed?”

“I’d change your shoes first,” Magnus suggested. His voice held the first hint of humor she’d ever heard from him.

“My shoes?” she repeated before looking down at her feet. She wore one blue pump and one red one. “Good heavens!”

“Take a few deep breaths. Listen to your message. And trust your Daddy and the team. They can take care of everything,” Magnus suggested.

“I don’t like this,” she protested.

“I like the array of colors. You’re wearing something to match just about any earrings you want to wear.”

“Magnus! You are awful,” she said, shaking her head. She couldn’t keep herself from enjoying his dry sense of humor. “Can you at least show me where they are on the map?”
