Chapter Twenty-Five
Everyone sat around the table in the commons area in the basement with exhaustion etched into their faces. Thank goodness the arriving guests were all settled in their rooms. The whirlwind of activity had challenged all the new staff members, including Sadie and the team. Thank goodness all their preparations and training had supported the grand opening.
“The resort is booked fully for the next month,” Sadie reported as she helped herself to the delicious pot roast and vegetables the chef had prepared for their dinner. “Oh, I forgot.”
She rushed to her blazer hanging by the door and dug in the pockets. After retrieving a small package, she returned to the table and circled around the side to stop beside Hawking. “This came for you today.”
