“Keep an eye on her.” I make way through the drunken masses, not bothering to smile at these nameless strangers that Nuke has collected. I’m getting ready to kick everyone out anyway.

“Ammmoooo.” Nuke raises an arm, and again I feel my jaw twitching.

“The hell is going on, Nuke?” I snarl, as Courtney screams and throws her arms around me, and I bring her body close.

“Where have you been?” She laughs and reaches to pull my neck down so she can smother me in kisses.

“You need to catch up, brother,” Nuke tells me, and I swear I want to punch him first.

“No, you need to go to bed. Get all these people out of my house.” My voice is booming over my sound system and Eminem’s lyrics.

“The fuck is up your ass?” Nuke wraps his arm around a red head who just got out of the pool.

“I’m not joking, I’m fucking tired.” Kissing Courtney as she tries to lean backward, I’m barely holding it together.

“Um. Fun police. Look, Melanie…Ammo’s turned into a big, fat bummer.” Courtney’s eyes narrow on mine.

“Courtney’s fucking hammered.” I look at Nuke accusatorily.

“Let’s get you upstairs.” I start to move, only to have her jerk her arm away, dramatically.

“I’m not going to bed. Fuck that. Now get me another drink.” She grabs ahold of Nuke’s back to steady her.

And that’s it.

“Let’s go.” I grab her arm as she screams, outraged, not that I give a fuck.

“Scream again, my love, and I’ll toss you over my shoulder.” It’s as if the entire party can feel my rage as they all move out of my way.

“Wait.” Nuke runs over, putting his hand on my chest.

“Look, Jimmy’s getting the limo ready. Dave Grohl and Pat Smear are at the Roxy tonight, I told them we’re coming.” He grins and where before I was moments away from punching him, I’m now milliseconds away.

But instead, I say, “Perfect. Take everyone with you.” Continuing to escort Courtney into the house and dismissing Nuke and this fucking shitshow, I want them all gone.

“What is the matter with you?” she snaps. “I’m going with Nuke and Melanie, we’re jamming with Dave and Pat.” She tries to pull away again, but I hold her arm tight and yell over to one of Ace’s security.

“The party is over. Get them all out of here.”

“Oh my God, what’s wrong with you?” Courtney screams, and this time I stop and look down at her.

“Christ.” She’s smashed, her face is flushed, lips like a dark burgundy wine, and my heart just aches.

“What?” she demands, arching her brows at me, and I shake my head.

“You’re a fucking mess, time for bed.”

“How dare you.” she snaps, then hiccups, “I have been waiting all day for you to come home. And this is what I get? Mel and Nuke wanted to leave an hour ago, but I made them wait.” She motions to me. “Where have you been?”

“Not now, darlin’, we’ll talk about everything in the morning.” Looking over her head at Nuke, who is now at the door, laughing and cat calling for us to join them.

“What does that mean?”

“Exactly what I said,” I grumble, moving us toward my stairs, happy to see security already thinning out the crowd. Of course, half of them are naked and wet, dripping all over my floor. Fuck my life.

“No, Marshall. I demand you tell me where you have been.” She pulls back and almost falls.

“Really, Court?” I just stare at her.

“Don’t look at me like that. You know what. I’m done. Out of here.” She spins and I grab her arm.

“You’re going upstairs, and we will talk about this in the morning.” Starting to lose what little patience I have just as I see Rachel, the fucking snake that she is, smile and walk toward us.

“Look, if you’re tired. I’ll take Courtney to the Roxy, and make sure she’s fine. As PR, her rocking out with Dave and Pat is fant—”

“Get the fuck out of my house.” Because this is the last straw, this cunt has got some balls on her, but I’m not the one to fuck with. She may not be the stalker, but she’s a criminal.

“Ammo!” Courtney yells, looking horrified.

“Excuse me?” Rachel’s hand reaches for Courtney’s, and I see red.

“Get. The. Fuck. Out of my house…you don’t want to push me on this. Not tonight.” I breathe in because I’m literally holding myself in check.

“Marshall, apologize. What is wrong with you?” Courtney screams, her eyes are welling up with tears as people start to film and take pictures.

“I won’t say it again, you either can walk your ugly old ass out of my house, or I’ll have my security remove you,” I state, staring straight into her reptilian eyes, and I see it, just a flash. She’s not right, fucked in the head, whatever, not my problem anymore, and by tomorrow she’ll be gone…ruined…the court can deal with her.
