“I just realized I don’t have any furniture.” Or towels or a bed.

What had I been thinking?

I couldn’t even take a shower.

Who’d let me do this?

Wesley’s laughter had me rolling my eyes. “Then come back here. I asked you what your plan was and you said you had everything covered. I thought that meant you’d rented furniture or something.”

That would’ve been a good plan.

Why hadn’t he mentioned that before I’d packed my suitcase?

A better question would’ve been why hadn’t he mentioned that when I wasn’t thinking about Ian and Cohen.

“Okay, new plan.” What would it be, though? “I—”

“You should come back here.” Wesley’s of course I’m right tone had my eyes rolling like dice again. Having a Dom had sent his confidence level through the roof. It was cute when it wasn’t aimed at me. “The only difference will be that you’ll have clean sheets when you come back because I stripped the bed.”

Why that sounded funny I wasn’t sure, but I managed not to laugh.

He didn’t sound impressed at my restraint, however. “You just need a plan. You can—”

“I can alternate staying with Ian and Cohen until I either rent a bed and get a few random things from the dollar store or until I take the train back and pack up my shit.” Which was something I should’ve been planning already.

In my defense, my men were distracting as fuck. “It won’t take long. I emptied out my fridge and everything before I came because I wasn’t sure how long I’d be gone.”

Maybe that should’ve given me a clue about how I’d been feeling about life in general.

Throwing away half a bottle of ketchup was a big sign.

Wesley’s sigh made it sound like he wasn’t sure about my plan, but the fact that he didn’t try to talk me out of it said a lot. He was even helpful. “You need to decide if you’re going to divide up your stuff between their places or if you’re going to get the move started quickly. Going back and forth with a suitcase will be annoying eventually.”

Hopefully, by that point we’d be ready to move in together…all three of us…but that wasn’t what he meant, so I stuck to the topic at hand. “I’m going to look at the train schedule tonight.”

And I’d start thinking about the layout in Cohen’s house, because I wasn’t sure where Ian’s playroom should logically go.

Once I started thinking about everything, the move and the house, the plan started coming together in my head. “I’ll take the fastest route back and drive here with my car. Once I know when I’m getting back into town, I’ll schedule the movers. I can do that from here or while I’m on the train.”

I wasn’t going to even try to do it myself.

I had money and I was going to use it.

Thinking about the money had me picturing what my parents would’ve thought. “They’d have liked Ian and Cohen.”

“Huh?” It took Wesley a second to catch up. “Oh, your parents.”

“Yeah.” I looked around the empty room. “But they would’ve been frustrated at my complete lack of planning.”

They’d have asked for a lot more specifics instead of letting me get away with brush-off statements like, “Of course, I have it under control.”

I imagined Wesley nodding as he laughed. “You were thinking with the little head, not the big one.”

His dirty joke had me cracking up, but he was right.

“Big head time.” That set him off again, giving me time to think. “The little head will get a workout eventually, but tonight I’m going to go visit my boy.”

Nighttime seemed like Daddy cuddle time, not Dom-ish Daddy naughty time, but we’d have to see what happened. Maybe it was surprise time instead?

“You should probably ask him before you just show up at his door.” Wesley’s ridiculous idea made me snort.

“I’m his Daddy.” Besides, if I gave him time to think, he’d worry. “I’m just going to let Cohen know the plan and then sit down to work out some of the details.”

Maybe the floor would be more comfortable than I thought?

“By that point, Ian should be home from work and we’ll have a quiet Friday night in.” Then when he was doing his sleepover thing on Saturday, I’d go drive Cohen crazy.

Yep, it was logical and organized and something I should’ve talked about with both of them before.

Oh well.

Wesley sighed again. “Plans are very important.”

And his nervous side was probably having a heart attack right now, but I appreciated that he wasn’t nagging me about my impulsive decisions. “Thank you for being such a good friend and making sure I know I can come back to your place if there’s a problem.”

I could almost hear the tension in him fading as he let out a deep breath. “That’s right. If it’s…difficult spending that much time around Ian and Cohen, you’re more than welcome to come here. Even if you just need some quiet time for a night or two. That’s a perfectly reasonable need even if you’re only dating one person.”
