“Gonna fill you up with that man jacking off in the back of his rig,” I rasped. “Watching you. Wishing he was me.”

She cried out and took me with her, pulling us both under so hard that I momentarily blacked out.

When I finally forced myself to open my eyes, it was to see the sheriff’s car pulling up at the gate behind the UPS man that was blocking our drive.

“Holy fuck,” I grumbled as my balls gave a small aftershock of pleasure.

She panted slightly when she twisted her head to look at me. “That was the hottest and naughtiest thing I’ve ever done. We’re never doing it again.”

I grinned. We would see about that.

Sadly, that grin fell off my face when I saw the sheriff get out of his car and start marching his way up Dutch’s driveway.

I moved us quickly, turning and twisting until she was once again with her back to the wall of her house, while I was facing her.

Tucking, smoothing, and zipping commenced, leaving me with only Dutch’s top off and my body covering hers.

“That’s illegal,” I heard Sheriff Graydon snap.

I tugged my tee off and handed it to the woman behind me.

“What?” I asked as I waited for her to dress fully.

“Public displays of affection,” he answered, pulling out his cuffs.

I started to laugh. “Um, we’re not in public, genius. We’re on her property. You’re the one who is trespassing. The moment you crossed the fence line at the gate, you were officially trespassing.”

Sheriff Graydon kept coming, his hands now caressing his cuffs like they were sensual objects and not pieces of metal.

“We’ll figure that out at the station,” Sheriff Graydon said stiffly. “You’ll be coming with me.”

I tilted my head sideways as I said, “Just me?”

“Just you,” Sheriff Graydon confirmed.

I gave Dutch’s hip a squeeze, making sure that she was dressed completely before I stepped away. “I’ll follow you down to the station so I have my bike.”

“No,” Sheriff Graydon disagreed. “You won’t. Now you can either make this easy and come willingly, or I’ll deploy my taser. Which will it be?”

I almost wanted him to deploy the taser. The more charges I could rack up against him, the better.

But I didn’t want Dutch to see that.

I wanted her to deal with this with ease.

“Fine,” I said. “Just let me make a call first.”

“You reach toward your pocket, and I’ll tase you,” Graydon replied.

I stepped away from Dutch and watched as Graydon tensed.

“Call my sister. She’ll know who to call,” I insisted. “In the meantime, can you have Aodhan come get my bike? I don’t want to leave it here.”

Dutch looked so angry at that moment in time that I had to give her a ‘cool it’ look with my eyes.

It wouldn’t do to have him looking into her at this point.

Maybe I shouldn’t have brought her into this.

Maybe I should’ve stayed away and kept Graydon’s focus solely on me.

That was what I dealt with on a daily basis, though. My brashness. Doing shit before I completely thought it through.

When I’d encouraged her to move in with me, I’d thought it was best to have her there where I could protect her, just in case. That, and I wanted to fuck her. And fucking her seemed easier if she was under the same roof as me.

And yes, it would be extra helpful having someone living with me. Especially Dutch who was an upstanding member of the community, and not involved in an unofficial official motorcycle club like I was.

But, there were downfalls.

Such as right now.

I could see that she was angry and wanted to lash out. But what she didn’t know was that Sheriff Graydon was a vindictive asshole. He’d been holding a grudge against me since my father moved out of state with his wife, leaving all of us behind.

Funny story, I hadn’t liked my father any more than he had. Yet, Graydon had gone out of his way to fuck with us ever since. As if two little kids, Danyetta being twelve, and me fourteen, could’ve stopped two grown adults from doing what they wanted to do.

“You can’t do this!” Dutch squeaked as Graydon moved forward to throw cuffs on me.

I allowed him to, because I just knew that he was waiting for me to fight.

I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction.

Winking at Dutch, I said, “Call Aodhan. Bike. Lawyer. Love you.”

The ‘love you’ had slipped out before I could take it back.

Her eyes widened and I knew what she was thinking.

It was too soon. I was just saying that in front of the sheriff.

Little did she know, I’d meant it.

CHAPTER 20

Why are fancy burgers so tall? What do you expect me to do with that? Smash that bitch down like McDonald’s and move on.

-Dutch to Danyetta

DUTCH

Love you.

His words from earlier had shaken me.
