“If you wanted me so badly, why didn’t we have sex in the hotel room?” More color stains her cheeks. “It’s not like you didn’t buy my virginity.”

Did I think about doing it with her each and every time we were together?

Damn right I did.

“After all these years, I wanted our first time to be special. And I wanted you to know exactly who was taking your innocence and making love to you.” I shift on the seat as thoughts of what she looked like spread out on the king-sized mattress press in at the edges. So fucking beautiful. Like a goddamn angel. “And it had to be your choice. No matter how it was supposed to play out.”

“Yes,” she whispers.

My brows rise as my cock twitches. “Yes, what?”

“I don’t want to wait any longer. I want you to be my first. Now. Too much time has already been stolen from us.”

Thrown off by her response, I release an unsteady breath. I thought she might need time to process everything we’ve discussed this evening. Even though I don’t want to, I pump the breaks before excitement can crash through my system and I scoop her up, throw her over my shoulder, and carry her out of this restaurant like a caveman.

“I don’t want you to think that we have to jump into bed and have sex. We can take as much time as you need and get to know one another again.”

It’s a surprise when she shakes her head. “I don’t want to wait. I want to be with you now.”

That’s all it takes for my erection to press painfully against the zipper of my jeans.

But still…

“There’s no pressure. I need you to be sure, Fallyn.”

“Maybe you’re the one who’s having second thoughts.”

That ridiculous comment is all it takes for me to slide from the booth and rise to my feet before pulling her along with me. Before she can ask any questions, I give into the impulse that’s been pounding through me since she stalked across the distance that separated us on campus and slapped me.

I scoop her into my arms and carry her out of the diner.

Chapter 31

Fallyn

Wolf’s hungry mouth roves over mine as the elevator rises to the third floor. There’s nothing gentle about the caress. And I wouldn’t want there to be. He’s already spent time kissing me softly, licking and sucking at my mouth in a worshipful way, conveying just how much he wants me.

How much he’s always wanted me.

But this feels different.

If he could eat me alive, he’d do it in a heartbeat.

And I’d love every minute of it.

The need that vibrates off him in heavy, suffocating waves is nothing short of intoxicating.

My arms tangle around his neck as I cling to him, rubbing against his muscular body like a cat in heat. We’re pressed together so tightly that I feel the thick jut of his arousal against my lower abdomen. A whimper of need escapes from me as the car jolts and a bell signals our arrival.

All I can think about is what it’ll feel like when he finally slides deep inside the heat of my body. The only thing I have to compare it to is when he pressed his finger inside me.

Except it’ll be thicker.

Much thicker.

As anxious as that thought makes me, it also fills me with anticipation and excitement. I’ve dreamed about this moment since I was fifteen years old. I want to experience that kind of closeness with Wolf.

And the fact that he saved all his firsts…

A bubble of giddiness bursts within me. It’s almost too much for the confines of my skin.

The metal doors slide apart, and a shocked gasp penetrates the thick haze that surrounds me. I reluctantly crack open an eyelid, only to find three girls standing in the hallway with their mouths hanging open.

One of them clears her throat. “Hi, Wolf.” Envy brims from her voice.

His grip intensifies as if he’s afraid I’ll flee. He should realize that I’m not going anywhere. An unintelligible response escapes from him before he drags me out of the elevator and down the hallway. Their high-pitched laughter chases after us.

I should be embarrassed by the PDA.

But I’m not.

At all.

I don’t give a crap about those girls or the gossiping that will inevitably follow. Any of them would trade places with me in a heartbeat.

His long legs eat up the length of the hallway faster than I’m able to keep up with. It’s only when he grounds to a halt outside his apartment and fishes out a key from his pocket that I’m able to catch my breath.

When he shoves open the door, it hits the interior wall with a shudder. A growl escapes from him as he swings toward me and nibbles at my lips before lifting me into his arms. His eyes flash with so much heat and hunger as he tips his chin upward to hold mine. The sheer force of it arrows straight down to my core before exploding like a firework. The need to feel more of him spirals through me as I tangle my legs around his waist. His large hands palm my ass, squeezing and kneading the flesh.
