I tried not to let the relief show on my face, but I smiled, which earned me one in return from Brock.

“Were you jealous, Miss Pratt?”

“No.”

His lips brushed over mine as he whispered, “Liar.”

I wanted to get lost in the kiss but remembered we were in public, and I needed to tamp down the urgency of wanting this man’s hands all over me.

When I broke the connection, I took a step back and caught the dirty look being shot my way from the woman who had been Kaci’s best friend. Now, I somewhat understood the evil eye she’d been sending my way. It only made me want to ask Brock more questions about Kaci, but I wasn’t about to ruin the way I was feeling tonight. Or the way Brock was feeling. I needed to let it go and move past what was clearly me being insecure.

It wasn’t like me to act this way. Maybe it was all the emotions I had been feeling today. Excitement, fear, happiness, desire. Lord, it was all swimming around inside me, having a party.

When the Uber pulled up, Brock nearly dragged me to the car. In the back seat, his thumb moved lazily over my hand. Each sweep sent tingles through my body that ended up settling right between my legs. Every now and then, we would exchange glances, both of us knowing how much we wanted each other.

When the driver pulled up to the hotel, Brock gently guided me out of the car, causing me to laugh. As we walked through the lobby, a few fans stopped Brock for a photo or for him to sign something. I stood patiently off to the side, a grin on my face as I watched the interactions.

My eyes drifted to the bar. Ty was sitting there with another guy on his left. A woman approached both men, said something to them, and then walked off. I figured they had excused her—until I saw Ty get up, throw money onto the bar, then turn and head in the direction the woman had gone. They met up at the elevator, and both got on.

My heart dropped some. I wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was because I knew Kaylee actually liked Ty, or maybe it was because my hope that he liked her had just been thrown out the window.

“Ready to go?” Brock asked me, pulling me from my thoughts.

“Yes!” I said, a little too eager.

The ride up in the elevator was heated. We stood next to each other, but another couple was with us, so we had to behave. Even walking down the hall to Brock’s room seemed to take forever.

The key card slid in. The door opened. We both walked in.

Then, Brock was all over me.

He pushed me against the door as his mouth came crashing down on mine. Our hands were everywhere on each other in a flurry of touches. Mine were desperately trying to untuck his shirt, unbutton it, and push it off his shoulders. His hands lifted my shirt over my head and cupped my breasts, and he moaned when my nipples poked against my bra.

Brock kicked off his boots, making me do the same. I hadn’t really wanted our first time together to be rushed. But there was no denying the passion between us.

My shaking hands undid the belt buckle, and I silently wondered if I’d have the guts to push my hand into his jeans. Biting on my lip, I did just that. I found his very impressive, hard length ready for me. Wrapping my hand around it, I groaned, and he did the same. His hips involuntarily pushed into my hand.

Brock jerked my hand away from him and panted sharply. “If you keep touching me like that, I’m going to come before we even get to the good stuff.”

The hammering of my heart echoed in my ears, and I watched as Brock dropped to his knees and took off my jeans and panties. His blue eyes lifted, and he smiled.

“Please tell me you’re okay with me tasting you now?”

Gasping for air, I asked, “Taste me?”

Lord Almighty. I knew what he was asking, but my head couldn’t wrap around the idea of his head being buried between my legs, doing incredible things that I knew he was capable of with that tongue of his. I wouldn’t last five seconds.

Brock stood. His eyes hooded over with a lusty haze. “Has a guy ever gone down on you?”

I snapped out of my fantasy and nodded. “Yes. One guy, and he wasn’t a fan, so it wasn’t very often.”

Brock grinned from ear to ear before scooping me up in his arms and carrying me over to the bed. He laid me on the bed and told me to crawl back. I watched as he pushed his jeans down, and then his boxer briefs. I tried to remember how to breathe as I got my first real look at him completely naked. My eyes traveled down his perfectly toned body and landed on his dick.
