“Mhm,” I mumbled.

“Come on, beautiful,” Christian coaxed. He stood up and slid his arms beneath me, lifting me from the bed. “Caiden and I both need showers before we head into work. You need to shower as well and take your medicine.”

I groaned in protest. Caiden laughed. “I’ve never seen someone who gets so damn tired after sex.” He shook his head and took me from Christian’s arms once he stepped into the shower so Christian could step in. “Woman, if I did everything I wanted to do to you, I’m almost fairly certain I’d put you into a fucking coma.”

My cheeks darkened at his words. He pressed a quick kiss to my lips before he eased me onto my feet, keeping his hands on my waist until he was sure I was steady and wouldn’t fall. I yawned and leaned my head against his chest. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pressed a kiss to the top of my head.

I slowly opened my eyes, watching as Christian lathered my poof with some of my body wash. He smiled at me as he began running it over my skin. “You’re so fucking adorable, my moon. You know that?”

“I love you,” I told him.

His eyes softened, and he paused in bathing me. He cupped my cheek, pulling my head off of Caiden’s chest. Leaning forward, he pressed his lips to mine. “And I love you, baby girl. Always,” he promised.

Caiden turned me so Christian could wash the front of my body. He pressed a tender kiss to my belly. “You’re going to really start showing soon,” he commented.

I looked down at my belly and placed my hand over it. Caiden’s hand covered mine, a silent offer of support. “I can’t wait,” I admitted. I looked up at Christian. “Do you want a boy or a girl?” I asked him.

He shrugged. “I don’t care as long as they’re healthy.”

Tears burned in my eyes. He pressed a sweet kiss to my lips.

I was so unbelievably lucky to have both of these men in my life.

I smiled at my brother when I stepped inside his office building. He was waiting on his patient to walk over to him. He quietly instructed her to go on to his office down the hall before he walked over to me, concern in his eyes. “You okay, Little Sis?”

I nodded, holding up a bag that contained two subs. “I brought Christian lunch, and I thought I could eat it with him.” I frowned, suddenly second-guessing myself. “That is okay, right?” I asked Axel.

He laughed and nodded. “Yeah, Sis. He doesn’t have any appointments until after lunch, so go on back there and surprise him.” He squeezed my shoulder. “Glad to see you coming back out of your shell, Ally. Just continue leaning on them, yeah?”

I smiled at him, my chest loosening some. “I’m trying.”

His smile widened. “That’s all I ask for. Just don’t ever stop trying.”

He walked down the hall, leaving the door open for me. I stepped inside and closed it behind me, heading down the hall to the end where Christian’s office was. I admired his nameplate that had been hung up on his door.

How did I manage to make a man who was so successful fall in love with someone as broken as me?

The door suddenly opened. Christian’s eyes widened in surprise, but he smiled. “Hey, baby.” He leaned forward and kissed me. “I didn’t know you were coming.”

“It was a surprise.” He led me inside and shut his office door behind him. “This is okay, right?”

He shot me a deadpan look, and I blushed. “Babe, of course, it’s okay. I always crave your company.” He gestured to the couch, a smirk playing on his lips when my cheeks instantly burned redder. “Remember this couch, beautiful?”

“How could I forget?” I sat down. “You kissed me for the fist time here, and you—” I drew in a deep breath, “you told me I deserve to glow—just like the moon.”

He nodded. “You’re slowly beginning to glow again,” he said quietly. “I know shit is terrifying for you right now, but Caiden and I—baby, we’re never leaving your side. You’ve always got us,” he promised. “No matter how rough shit gets or how dark it becomes for you, we’re always going to be two people you can rely on.”

My bottom lip trembled. I closed my eyes, drawing in a deep breath. He pulled me into his arms, holding me until I could bring myself back together. Once I was okay again, I grabbed the bag. “I got you a sub,” I told him. “I’m hoping I got it made correctly.”

He unwrapped the sub and took a bite, groaning after. “Fuck yes. I think this is honestly the best fucking sub I’ve ever had.” He looked over at me. “What sauce did you have them put on it?”
