ERIC RUIZ
I slept like a baby, with Colton curled up in my arms, his gentle breaths working like white noise and lulling me right to sleep. It had been the perfect way to end a perfect night. I woke up scared it had all just been a wispy dream, floating off into the sky the second my eyelashes fluttered open, but Colton’s warm body tucked against mine reassured me that it was all, in fact, very real.
I kissed the back of his head and stretched out underneath the covers. Sunlight was already slipping in through the drawn curtains, creating a peaceful orange-and-blue glow that made the room appear as if under an Instagram filter. My phone was on the nightstand set on “do not disturb.” I turned the setting off and was greeted with a couple of emails I promptly ignored, tapping instead on Yvette’s text bubble.
She’s telling someone named Lito that they haven’t read the will yet. She says she’ll call him tomorrow and that she loves him. Does that help?
Yup, that’s exactly what I needed. Thank you!
I put the phone back on the nightstand. Yvette’s translation certainly helped, but it also brought up about a thousand different questions. Who the hell was Lito? Why was Wendy so concerned about the will? And why was she ending the call with an “I love you”? It didn’t make much sense, not until I figured out who the hell was on the other end of that call.
Colton stirred awake, rolling over so he faced me. He threw one leg over me, rubbing his morning wood against my thigh. I closed my eyes and smiled. Was this what romance movies always tried to show? The warm-gooey-over-the-moon feeling that swelled through me as Colton cuddled into me, his warm breath tickling my neck, his hand resting just above my heart.
With his eyes still shut, he gave me a groggy “Morning, stud” before kissing my cheek.
My cock twitched under the comforter, making the heavy white fabric bounce. The questions about Wendy were slowly getting pushed to the background as Colton’s stiff cock moved directly to the foreground.
“Did Yvette text you?” Colton asked, sounding slightly more awake. The questions fell back into focus. I nodded and told him what Yvette had translated.
“Love?” Colton repeated as he sat up, fully awake now. “And who the hell is Lito?”
“My thoughts exactly,” I said, looking up at a confused Colton. The comforter was still bunched up around my twitching length. I tried ignoring it for now. “And why is she talking to Lito about the will?”
“Which she might not even be on.”
“Huh?”
Colton covered his mouth as he yawned before explaining. “My mom never liked her. Archie and my mom had some intense arguments over that, which probably only made my mom dislike her even more.”
“But your mom wouldn’t leave Archie off the will, would she?”
He shook his head. “Nah, I doubt that. Even with all the drama, Archie was still my mom’s favorite. She’d never say, but it was kind of obvious.”
This was all adding up to something; I just wasn’t entirely sure I had the math down just yet. Something was off. I needed to figure out who this Lito guy was and why Wendy seemed to be so invested in the will, reporting to him in a language no one even knew she spoke.
It would take some poking around where I didn’t belong to figure things out. We had our field day later, which could provide some opportunity to dig for information while everyone was distracted with some friendly competition. I glanced at the clock on the nightstand and saw we had a good hour before the chef would have breakfast ready. I still wasn’t entirely used to being around so much money, but I also wasn’t complaining about the perks.
I sat up and kissed Colton, my hand cupping his face. “We’ll figure it out,” I said, sliding my hand under the comforter and finding his still-rock-hard morning wood. “But first, let’s handle some other business.”
We nearly missed breakfast that morning, losing track of time once the comforter was thrown off and warm lips were wrapped around stiff cocks. I could have spent all day sixty-nineing with Colton, but unfortunately, we weren’t here on a solo vacation.
Plus, I had work to do.
Everyone was gathered outside in loose groups, wearing their sportiest gear and warming up with some jumping jacks and stretches. It was nice to see the family together and friendly with each other, even though there was still an underlying current of tension between Archie, Jackson, and William that sparked up every time one would look at the other. I noticed there was a particularly strong sense of animosity and discomfort coming from William in the way he always appeared to have his back turned toward Jackson, ignoring him even when Kendall called him over to ask a question. Colton’s dad would just not look in Jackson’s direction.
