The world seemed to have been sucked into a black hole. Everything went silent, even though children were still laughing and rides were still roaring and parents were still chatting. Eric and Colton walked out of the exit, holding hands, Eric’s hair messed up from the ride, the rest of the group right behind them. My knees felt like they’d been replaced with sponges, and my legs started to shake.
“What?” Eric asked as he walked over to me. “It looks like you just saw a ghost?”
