“Have you been reading romance books?” I asked, lifting up on my elbows as I watched him retreat. He had a beautiful ass. A perfect ass. And it was mine.

I giggled at my silly behavior. I was ogling his ass, for crying out loud.

Rip walked back into the room with a washcloth. He sat on the bed and used his hand to spread my legs apart. The moment the warm washcloth touched between my legs, I moaned. No man had ever done anything like this for me before.

Looking back, I didn’t know why I ever thought I was in love with Easton. After sex, he climbed out of the bed, pulled on his pants and kissed me goodbye on the forehead. It was never anything mind-blowing. I had blamed it, of course, on my love for Rip. Or the love I had refused to accept.

“Chloe, if you keep moaning like that, I’m going to make you come with my mouth again.”

My eyes jerked open, and I turned to look at him. I was positive he saw the desire in my eyes.

“I’ll save it for dessert. Get dressed, baby. They’ll be here soon.”

I didn’t move. Instead, I watched as Rip pulled on a pair of jeans and a black T-shirt. He walked into the kitchen and looked around. Did he have any idea how incredibly sexy it was to watch him? Bare feet. Tight T-shirt. Just-fucked hair.

Ugh, Chloe. Stop and get up already.

Slipping out of the bed, I almost wrapped the sheet around my body, but decided I was never going to hide myself from the man I loved. This was new for me. Before this I would never have walked around naked after sex. Now everything had changed, just like I knew it would, but this time it was only for the better.

I felt the heat from Rip’s eyes on me almost instantly. I may have added a bit more of a sway to my hips as I walked over to my bag, pulled out some sweatpants and Rip’s T-shirt, then headed into the bathroom. When I heard him groan softly, I smiled and internally fist pumped.

Rip

MY BODY HUMMED with pleasure as I found some tea and put it in the Keurig. Chloe wasn’t a coffee drinker, but I knew she loved a cup of tea.

I glanced over my shoulder and saw her head to the bathroom. I noticed she’d almost wrapped her body up in the sheet but decided not to. I was glad she didn’t. I never wanted her to hide that amazing body from me. Ever.

My phone buzzed on the coffee table and I walked over to it. I figured it was about dinner, but it was Mike.

Mike: This is just cruel. How is it going? Have y’all done it yet?

Me: Done it? What are we in grade school still?

Mike: I’m going to guess since you have ignored all of my phone calls, and Chloe isn’t answering her phone either, y’all did it!

I laughed.

“What’s funny?” Chloe asked, walking into the open room. I opened my mouth but couldn’t seem to find any words.

Chloe looked down to the phone, then back at me. “What? What’s wrong?”

Slowly, I shook my head. “You look…beautiful.”

She glanced at her sweats and my old Oak Springs football T-shirt.

“What?” she asked with a giggle.

Her hair was pulled into a ponytail, and she had the most stunning blush on her cheeks. I wanted to pull her into my arms, kiss her fucking senseless, carry her back to the bed and make love to her all over again. And again. And again.

“Rip? What in the world is wrong with you? Why are you staring at me like that?”

I framed her face in my hands and kissed her. Chloe’s body melted, and she moaned into my mouth. My hands went to her backside, and I pulled her up until her legs wrapped around me.

Her fingers sunk into my hair, and I was walking her back to the bed, when I heard someone call out.

“Hidey-ho!”

Chloe started to laugh as I groaned in frustration and let her slide down my body.

“Looks like dinner is here.”

I rubbed the back of my neck as I made my way to the door. The delivery guy stood on the steps.

“Rip Myers?” he asked, giving me a jolly ol’ happy smile.

“That would be me.”

He reached out and handed me two bags. “I have your order from the Italian Garden.”

“Oh, Italian!” Chloe said from behind me.

The delivery guy glanced her way and nodded. Chloe took one of the bags and walked to the table on the veranda.

“The tip should have been included when I paid.”

“Yes, sir. Thank you for that.”

“Of course. Thanks so much for being right on time.”

Chloe tried not to chuckle, but she heard the sarcasm in my voice.

“No problem at all. Enjoy your dinner, and that view!”
