As he teased my entrance, I reached down and dug my fingers into his ass. He laughed, then slipped his fingers inside me instead. I knew he was making sure I was wet enough to take him in. Being wet was no problem. I was on the verge of having another orgasm simply from thinking of him making love to me.

“Rip, I’m so ready for you. Please.”

“I like hearing you beg for me,” he whispered against my lips. I smiled and lifted my hips to him.

His eyes met mine. “God, I love you.”

My heart slammed frantically in my chest.

If this is a dream, I never want to wake up!

He positioned himself again as we held one another’s gaze. When he pushed in slightly, I gasped, and he stopped.

“I only need a moment to adjust as you go in. Please don’t stop.”

“I don’t want to hurt you.” The sound of compassion in his voice caused tears to well up in my eyes. The two other men I had been with never treated me like this. They weren’t harsh, by any means, but they never looked at me with so much love and care. When Rip said he didn’t want to hurt me, I believed him. I not only saw it in his eyes, I heard it in his voice. Felt it in his touch.

This man loved me, and I loved him. Everything was exactly how it was supposed to be.

“Chloe,” he softly said, kissing the tear that had slipped free. “Talk to me.”

“The way you love me. I feel it so deep within my heart.”

He smiled and pushed in farther. My breath hitched, and I arched upward. It felt heavenly. He felt heavenly.

“I do love you. More than you will ever know.”

His mouth pressed to mine. My arms wrapped around his neck as he pushed deep inside me. When he stilled, our kiss deepened.

Rip slowly moved his hips and I could already feel my body reacting. Building to what I knew was going to be an overwhelming orgasm. I wondered if he felt the same.

He pulled his mouth from mine and buried his face in my neck. Wrapping my legs around his body, I silently urged him for more. I loved the sweetness of his lovemaking, but I needed more from him. Longed for more.

“Rip!” I cried out, digging my heels into him. “More.”

He lifted his head and grinned the same way I’d first seen him smile so many years ago. Back then I had thought he was just a cute little boy offering me his swing. Now, that cute smile had a hint of naughty in it. I smiled back, and he gave me exactly what I asked for.

And so much more than that.

I was soon crying out his name as stars exploded behind my eyes. Rip’s own moans of pleasure mixed with mine, along with my name falling from his mouth.

We came together. Both of us tumbled off the ledge at the same exact time. Like it was meant to be. Like it had always been meant to be.

Rip remained still for the longest time after he came inside me. I felt positive he was just as moved by the experience as I had been. My fingers moved lightly over his back while his breathing, and mine, settled to a more normal rhythm.

“It was better than any dream I have ever had,” he said, his nose rubbing my jaw.

“Mmm, I agree.” I was in a blissful bubble. The air in the room felt crisp and clean. The smell of flowers floated, and I looked to see the sky was the most beautiful shades of dark blue with just a hint of orange and pink from the sunset.

“I’ll never forget this night for as long as I live,” I said. I closed my eyes and committed every single moment to memory. It would be tucked alongside all the other amazing memories I shared with this man.

“It’s only the beginning, Chloe Cat. I want to give you so many more nights like tonight.”

His eyes caught mine, and we both smiled.

Rip started to pull out of me, but I hooked my leg around him and shook my head. “I’m not ready for you to leave me yet.”

“Oh baby, I’m not ever leaving you. Ever.”

Dear Lord, my heart couldn’t take much more of this man. I’d just had him, he was still inside me, yet I found myself wanting more of him. Needing more of him. Wanting to make up for all the lost time we’d missed.

“Let me go grab a towel. We have to get dressed.”

I jutted my lower lip into a pout. “Why on Earth would you suggest getting dressed?”

He winked and then he was standing. Leaving me feeling empty without him inside me.

“Dinner is being delivered soon.”

Thud went my heart.

There he went again making me swoon.
