“Yes.” His voice from inside goes straight through me, instantly causing a replay of what we did in the bathroom to race through my mind like our own private movie on fast forward.

I open the door to the suite and find him sitting there waiting for me, looking up from his seat, and although it’s my job to wait on him and make sure everything is to his liking, as I enter, I feel especially on edge, as though I have some impossible standard to live up to now. After all, how can me dropping off his dinner live up to what we did in the bathroom?

“I brought your chicken,” I say softly, closing the door behind me. Wow, I can feel myself blushing as I slide out the hidden table from the wall beside his seat and set his tray and drink down.

“I see that,” he replies with a slight chuckle that causes my heart to flutter. “And unless I’m mistaken, you brought it last as well, didn’t you?”

My blush deepens, causing my cheeks to tingle. I feel like a little girl around him. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to make it through the rest of this flight with any kind of professionalism. I only have a few minutes I can be in here before Hannah notices and gets suspicious, and I’m already thinking about all the things I want him to do to me.

“I did,” I reply, smiling, happy to be caught. “Otherwise I’d have to run off and serve the other passengers. At least this way we can get a few minutes alone together.”

Conrad’s lips twist into a charming smile as he reaches out and wraps a hand around my waist and pulls me onto his lap. “Well, you’re a thinker, aren’t you?”

My pulse is racing like I’ve just sprinted a mile. I can’t stop thinking about the warmth between my legs that he left there earlier. I can’t keep my eyes off his chiseled features, his stunning jaw and piercing eyes that seem to already know me. How can I be so comfortable with a man I just met? A man I barely know? But somehow it’s like we’re already so close to each other, and it’s not just because of what we did earlier. It’s more than that. It’s like our souls vibrate on the same frequency and came together in harmony on this flight.

“You know what I’m thinking about right now?” I ask him.

“What’s that?”

“You.” I smile. “Tell me about you. What do you do? Why are you on your way to Los Angeles?”

“I’m a lawyer,” Conrad replies.

“A lawyer?” I reply. “Really?”

Conrad squeezes my thigh. “What? You don’t believe me?”

“I…no, I guess I do,” I reply. “I guess I normally just…most lawyers I’ve met are always stuffy, boring, and stuck up. Either that or really full of themselves.”

“Well, I can be more full of myself if you’d like,” Conrad teases, running his hand up my skirt. “But I think it’s more fun if you’re full of me.”

Instantly, my body starts to respond and come alive for him. I feel all the indicators; my nipples hardening beneath my bra, a heat swelling between my thighs, the blush on my cheeks expanding, threatening to encompass my entire body.

“Stop it,” I whisper, pushing his hand back down. “You’re going to—”

“Going to what?” He smiles.

“You’re going to get me all hot and bothered, and there’s no time for that right now.”

Conrad smirks, gives my thigh a squeeze but removes his hand from my skirt. I both love him and hate him for it. He reaches over to his tray, slices a piece of chicken, and pops it into his mouth.

“So you know about me,” he says. “Tell me about you. On your way to Los Angeles to become a famous actress?”

I burst out laughing but quickly cover my mouth with my hands.

“God no,” I reply. “I’m a flight attendant, and that’s it. I’m brand new too and just happened to luck into working this flight because the regular crew all got quarantined for potential COVID exposure.”

Conrad nods. “Now that’s some good luck.”

“For me.”

“What about this girl Hannah?” he asks. “Ever worked with her before?”

“Never,” I reply. “But she seems a little…off, I have to be honest.”

“Yeah? How’s that?”

Normally, I would never gossip about another member of the flight crew with a passenger, but then again, I would normally never have sex with a passenger either, so I guess what I would normally do has gone right out the window.

“Well, she spilled a drink on me earlier,” I tell him. “And then almost spilled another one on me a few minutes ago. She just seems…distracted. I don’t know. Maybe she’s just having an off day.”

Conrad nods again and takes another bite of his chicken. “Yeah, probably just an off day. Not everyone can meet the man of their dreams on their flight like you.”
