“Right…” I say, finding a piece of my voice. This can’t be real. I nod my head as Hannah continues speaking, explaining how we’re going to need to get in touch with the security on the ground and how the next step will be the two of us alerting the passengers so they’ll know what to do when we land and not to panic. But I feel like I’m in a daze—like a gray veil has been pulled over my eyes, and it’s only when she tugs on my wrist that I finally come out of my stupor.

“Roxy!” she barks, getting my attention.

“Yes,” I reply quickly.

“Are you ready?”

I open my mouth to respond, but I realize that I’m absolutely not ready. There’s no way in hell that I’m anywhere close to ready to proceeding with her plan. I mean, I’ve been trained for this kind of thing…sort of, but I’m not even supposed to be on this flight in the first place, let alone coming up with evacuation plans because the man I just fucked while working turned out to be some kind of terrorist or something!

What an absolute nightmare.

“No,” I reply quickly.

“No?” Hannah replies, aghast. “Are you kidding me?”

“I-I have to see it first,” I tell her.

“See it? See what?” she asks.

“The gun,” I reply. “I have to see it! If he really has one like you say he does, then okay, I’ll help you. But I…I just have to see it myself.”

Hannah sighs and looks at me like my mom used to when she would tell me a harsh reality about the world and I just wouldn’t want to accept it.

“Jesus, Roxy,” she sighs. “You really like this guy, huh?”

“No!” I lie. “I just…I don’t want to get into some huge, crazy plane evacuation and alert ground security if it ends up being nothing. You know?”

Hannah shakes her head and shrugs. “Fine. But you better be discreet about it. If he catches you—”

“He won’t,” I assure her. “Don’t worry.”

Before she can say another word and rope me back into a longer discussion, I turn my back on her and march straight over to the door to Conrad’s suite. My heart is beating so hard and so fast it feels as though it might just beat straight up into my throat and come out my mouth. So I close my eyes, take several deep breaths and a few seconds in an attempt to calm myself, and then gently knock. Despite my conversation with Hannah, Conrad’s voice from within sends a warm wave through my body.

“Yes?”

“May I come in, sir?”

I can practically hear him smiling as he answers. “You may.”

Stepping back into Conrad’s suite feels like stepping into a home we share together. Smelling his scent, feeling the warmth of his body as I move close to him, it’s nearly impossible to push away the feelings that begin to rise up inside me—feelings screaming at me that this man is the one for me, the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. On top of that, I can still feel his release inside me, soaking my panties, threatening to seep out and slip down my leg.

It can’t be true! But if I’m going to get to the bottom of this, I have to push aside my feelings, at least for a moment, and investigate Hannah’s claim.

“She’s going to start to suspect something,” Conrad says with a smile that absolutely melts my heart. This man is a danger to everyone else on the plane? It can’t be. He’d have to be the world’s greatest actor or a complete psychopath. Little does he know, Hannah already does suspect something, just not what he’s thinking.

He reaches out and takes me by the hands and pulls me in for a kiss. Despite the questions running around in my mind, I still can’t help the sensations that flow through me when our lips meet. It’s simply my body reacting the way it would if an ice cube was pressed against my arm. It’s a physical reaction I can’t control. That’s the kind of power Conrad has over me.

But I still have a job to do…

“Hey, Daddy, can you do me a favor?” I’m about to do something terrible—something I never ever wanted to do to Conrad, but I don’t see how I have any choice at this point.

“Sure, baby,” he says. “Anything.”

“So we have a very silly policy on this plane where flight attendants can only have two drinks,” I lie. “Not drinks, like alcohol, but any kind of drink.”

Conrad frowns at me. Please believe me.

“Seriously?”

I nod, putting on my best cute face. “Seriously. But first-class passengers like you…”

He nods and chuckles. “You want me to go ask Hannah for a drink for you?”

“Would you?” I ask. “Just make sure you don’t say it’s for me.”
