And that was dangerous thinking.
Bermuda was overflowing with summer tourists. It might feel like they were alone, but Edward knew they never were. Someone was always around watching, and Daniel didn’t seem too keen on spending all their time in his room. Shame too. He loved fucking the man.
Just remembering sinking into Daniel’s tight body had his cock perking up. Not the best time since he was only wearing a pair of swim trunks and they didn’t leave much room for error.
After dinner and sex, they’d lain in Daniel’s bed for a while, just talking about a lot of nothing, before they started rolling around again. Within minutes, another condom was found, and Daniel was riding him. Edward was pretty sure he’d never seen anything so sexy in his entire life. There was no fighting the orgasm that barreled through him with frightening speed. Less than an hour later, Edward stumbled to his own hotel room, feeling drained and sated within an inch of his life.
But not really closer to his real purpose for coming to Bermuda in the first place.
He needed to win Daniel over. Get Daniel to trust him. Let his guard down.
Dropping his hands back down to his sides, Edward glanced around the docks. The boat rental wasn’t far from the hotel, and he’d had no trouble securing the boat for a few hours. He figured he had two options. One was to take Daniel out and continue wooing him until he finally slipped up and dropped his guard. The other was to take Daniel out to the middle of the ocean, torture him until he finally confessed, and then dump his dead body.
One would likely get him laid again. The other was messy but could be fast. Both would get him closer to his ultimate goal. He wasn’t fond of fucking a man hell-bent on betraying his country, but there was no denying that Daniel was sexy in a bookish kind of way, and he was so damn fun in bed. Why not enjoy it while he could?
“Ahoy!”
Edward turned at the call and found Daniel walking down the dock with a slightly sheepish expression on his face. Of course, the sheepish expression wasn’t the first thing he noticed. The man was also wearing a pair of short red swimming trunks and a white tank top that showed off strong arms. With dark sunglasses and blond hair, he topped off the picture of a sexy beach bum who Edward would love to drag to his hotel room for a lot more sex.
Later.
Work first. Fun later.
When Daniel was only a few feet from the boat, he gave a little wave. “That’s right, isn’t it? That’s what people say to people on boats?” he asked, looking a little embarrassed and flustered.
Edward blinked and forced a chuckle when he finally realized what Daniel was talking about. The man was completely scattering his brain to the wind. He stepped to the side of the boat closest to the dock and extended a hand to Daniel. “You’re right.”
Daniel placed his softer hand in Edward’s, his smile firmly back in place, before carefully stepping onto the boat. “Thanks for the help.” He started to pull his hand from Edward’s, but Edward tightened his grip and stepped closer to Daniel.
“There’s a small fee for the assistance,” he murmured. He brushed his lips across Daniel’s and the other man took the hint, kissing Edward with a hungry eagerness that had his blood rushing south yet again. Maybe it wouldn’t take much to convince Daniel to head to his hotel room this afternoon for some more fun.
Edward stepped back, breaking off the kiss before he could embarrass himself. Daniel wasn’t in much better condition as he pulled the backpack he’d had slung over one shoulder off to hold in front of him.
“It’s good to see you too,” Edward said, his voice a low rumble. He loved the flush that darkened Daniel’s cheeks, but the man still held his gaze. At least he tried to. After a couple of seconds, Daniel cleared his throat and looked away. He was simply too adorable, and Edward was sad that he wasn’t real in the least.
Why couldn’t he find someone exactly like Daniel acted? Sweet, kind, intelligent, funny, with a hidden inner strength. Edward nearly rolled his eyes at his thoughts. What would he do with this miracle person if he did find him? It wasn’t like he was in a position to be seriously involved with anyone. He was constantly out of the country on one assignment or another. He couldn’t expect to have a working relationship with someone he almost never saw.
“Thanks for inviting me out,” Daniel said at last. “I’ve never been boating.”
“That’s a shame. I love going out on the open water. Just turn the engine off and let her bob on the waves in the middle of nowhere.” He stepped over and untied the ropes mooring the boat to the wooden dock. “You feel like you’re the only person left on the face of the earth.”
