“Yes,” I whispered, hoping it was true. But I must have trusted him, or else I would have already been running for the hills.

He moved in behind me and kicked my legs farther apart. Then, without preamble, he pushed up into me, his cock rigid and huge and overwhelming.

I tried to bite back the agonized cry as I felt like I was being split in two, but I failed, and it came out sounding all distorted and much louder than I could have imagined. Somehow being outside seemed to amplify everything.

My stomach quivered, and I was terrified, but I wanted Kage so much. I wanted to feel him filling me up and taking me over. And I wanted to prove to him that I would risk my life for him. Because I would. I had no choice anymore.

He wrapped one of his warm hands around each of my wrists, just above the tie that bound them, and he started moving inside me. At first it was excruciating. I was tight from fear, because my body was leaning forward, toward the balcony rail, and the only things tethering me were my feet and Kage’s hands.

For a moment, I imagined what it might be like to die that way. To be fucked out into oblivion, sailing over the City of Sin for one final, blissful moment.

It really didn’t seem like a bad way to go.

“Tell me you trust me,” he said, his voice barely controlled as he pounded into my body.

But I didn’t know if I trusted him. The truth was, it didn’t matter if I trusted him or not.

“I would die for you,” I said instead, because it was true. Trust was irrelevant. He could break my trust a hundred times, and I would still die for him.

He walked me forward a couple of steps and bent me over the top of the balcony rail, as if testing my claim. Only the tops of my shoulders and my head were floating, but the near-invisibility of the balcony gave the illusion of much more.

“I would die for you, too,” he said. “I don’t care.” And then he gave me everything he had, surging up into my body with the strength of ten men, showing me with his body what could not be said with words.

I couldn’t touch myself, but that was okay. The night had never been about finding sexual release. It was about getting back what I had lost, by any means necessary.

“Let’s come together, right here,” he said. “I want Vegas to hear you screaming my name.”

Suddenly my hands were free. Kage had released the tie and dropped it to the balcony floor, and I hurried to grab onto my dick with a hand that didn’t work quite optimally after being bound. I strained to get it to work, though, and to finish with Kage. I could feel that he was close.

He leaned over the rail behind me, his breath close to my ear, panting sweet nothings. I couldn’t tell what he was saying. It was gibberish, I think, but it was hot gibberish.

I didn’t hold back the noise, either. He’d said he wanted to hear me, and I wasn’t about to let him down. I grunted and moaned, pushing back on him, meeting his power thrust for thrust, and when we came, it was like jumping off of that balcony and free falling. Every muscle froze, time froze, and I did scream his name. It was fresh on my lips as I coated the inside of the balcony with milky white ropes of pure satisfaction.

When it was done, we staggered back into the bedroom and fell heavily onto Kage’s bed, just happy to be alive.

CHAPTER 9

(KAGE)

The next morning, Jamie was cuddled up in my bed, all naked and vulnerable. It really should have been a crime to look that sweet. I reached over and ran a finger through his sparse chest hair, teasing his nipple to a point while trying not to wake him. I wanted to look at him like that for a while, with his face relaxed, his dark lashes fanned out on his cheek. His soft lips were parted, and a faint snore sounded every now and then. He was unburdened in sleep, much like the old Jamie— the one I brought to Vegas and set about trying to ruin.

When I moved to the other nipple, tickling over the surface until it tightened up, he closed his mouth and stirred. I watched him, adoring him, wishing things were different.

For God’s sake, I’d made him prove his loyalty by letting me bind him and fuck him on a balcony. I’d known it was safe, because I knew the safety specs of the building. I never would have actually risked his life, but it had to have be scary as hell for him anyway.
