Julian gave a big, long yawn as he undressed and slid under the sheet, bare assed. The cool Egyptian blend felt amazing, sliding over his skin. How long had it been since he’d slept with no clothes on?

Fuck, he felt good and safe and nodded off to sleep.

Julian’s scent wafted over Beckett like a seductive wave, eagerly drawing him from sleep. The beautiful bright smile and forever teasing glint in Julian’s gaze blocked the bright sun, showcasing his handsome face. Beckett woke happy and didn’t hesitate to reach for Julian, drawing him down for a tender kiss. Julian obliged, opening before their mouths ever met.

The sun shone brightly in Beckett’s face as Julian lowered his head. Beckett closed his eyes, kissing Julian. Damn the consequences of anyone who might see.

Beckett could feel the gentle breeze of the sunny afternoon. The scent of wildflowers mingled with Julian’s enticing cologne. How he’d gotten Julian to go camping with him, he didn’t know. Surprisingly, Julian wasn’t whining. He had figured camping was something he’d have to do by himself.

Julian’s palms roamed Beckett’s chest, teasing his nipples and clawing at Beckett’s T-shirt. His lover was a self-proclaimed bad boy leaving Beckett torn on how best to proceed in this situation. Should he let Julian continue? More than anything, he wanted to give Julian what he wanted, what Beckett wanted too, but he could hear his father snoring heavily nearby.

“We shouldn’t,” Beckett whispered against Julian’s mouth.

When Beckett opened his mouth, Julian took the opportunity to dip his tongue inside, priming him for what was to come. Julian knew how to kiss, and it turned Beckett on. Julian licked a trail to his ear.

“Let me fuck you, Beck,” Julian’s husky voice whispered against his ear before tracing the outer shell and sliding inside. Fuck he loved that, and Julian knew it. The man didn’t play fair. Beckett gave a full-body shiver at the thought of Julian’s suggestion. He fucking loved to bottom and rarely had been given the chance. The men in his life had always considered him the alpha.

His dick punched against his camo trousers as Julian rose above him, tugging his dress shirt over his head. His guy was elegant and classy even while out in the rugged wilderness.

“Beckett,” Julian exclaimed.

His body shook, not of his own accord.

“Shh, you’ll wake my dad.” The hoarse sounds of his voice dragged through his brain. Something wasn’t right.

“Did you just mention your father?” Julian asked, and the shaking on his arm took on a fevered force until it landed heavily on his chest. “It’s five thirty. I slept through my alarm. Do you need to wake up early or do you want to keep dreaming of your dad?”

Beckett opened his eyes, startled to find Julian standing over him, dressed in a blue satin robe. He looked around the dark living room, trying to gather his bearings. He was on the sofa in Julian’s condo. Beckett immediately sat up. Julian pushed upward to his full height to avoid a possible collision with how fast Beckett rose. “What happened?”

A second or two passed before Julian gave him that cute little eye roll. “It’s weird how you just wake up to be wide awake.”

Not the first time he’d heard such a thing, and he chose not to dash Julian’s perception. This time he’d struggled with as soundly as he’d slept. Beckett’s cell phone vibrated. Julian went for the kitchen island, grabbed his phone, and handed it over the sofa while grabbing the leash.

“You got off then slept like a baby. So much better than Ambien,” Julian chuckled, coming back around the edge of the sofa toward Woofer who stood ready by the back door.

“I’ll take him out,” Beckett offered, reaching for his runners.

“I got it,” Julian said, attaching the hook to Woofer’s collar. “You were sleeping so hard.”

Beckett scrubbed his hands down his face, willing away the haze in his brain. “I was tired. I am tired. I could sleep for a week.”

“If you’ll take him out,” Julian said, changing his mind as Beckett shoved each foot into his shoes. “I can make you a cup of coffee for the road.”

“You’ve got a deal,” Beckett said, his gaze traveling the length of Julian’s body. He reached for the leash, marveling at the sheer beauty before him. Even disheveled from sleep, Julian looked stunning. Beckett took the leash in one hand and circled Julian’s waist with the other, drawing him to his body. “I’m sorry about crashing on you last night.”

“I’m not,” Julian teased. His expression conveyed that signature you’re-being-silly look as he lifted up and lightly pressed a kiss to Beckett’s lips. “I left you sleeping and went to the club to close. When I got back, you didn’t hear me come in. I decided you had to be exhausted.”

“You left me here?” Beckett asked. He must have been seriously conked out to have missed all that.
