“You’re saying a lot of things.” She gasped when I hooked my middle finger and pressed against her entrance. “And I hear you. You want me? Well, words are pretty, but talk is cheap, old man.”

Just as her pussy greedily swallowed the tip of my finger, Atlas put her hand around my wrist again. This time, she dug her nails in. Right over the still-healing bite mark she’d left the first time I touched her without her permission.

I’d jerked off so many times to the memory and feeling of her sinking her teeth deep. She didn’t stop until she tasted blood, and it was the moment I knew her wide-eyed innocence was a ruse and that this young doe could handle a beast like me.

“I value actions above all else, and you’ve done nothing to show me you want me. All you’ve done since we met is try to scare and hurt me. Am I tempted? Yes. You’re fine as hell, and I haven’t been fucked in a while. You seem like you’re good for a nut…if nothing else. If hell somehow freezes over and I let you fuck me, I promise not to get my feelings involved. I know I’m much younger than you’re used to, but I don’t just fall for any man who shows me a little bit of attention. You don’t really seem worth the effort of falling in love. You’re a fuck boy, Rowdy Wray, and my mama always told me to take men like you with a grain of salt.”

She was glaring at me now like she expected me to be upset and hurt her again. Little did Atlas know, she’d only carved my obsession in stone.

The receptionist wanted me to romance her?

Fine.

I was a lion, a predator. We were built to chase our food.

I was staring at her lips, unaware that I’d leaned forward until her eyes drifted closed and her lips parted with a sigh. I stopped just short of brushing her mouth with mine before pulling back with a smile. “Something on your mind, Atlas?”

Her eyes snapped open, and I saw the moment she realized I had no intention of kissing her. I wanted to, and that should have been enough to make me reconsider fucking her. I’d never been tempted before.

“Yes,” she hissed. Despite her little speech, Atlas didn’t like being played. “I’m thinking that you’re crazy, and I want nothing to do with you.” Placing her small hands on my chest, she tried to shove me away, but I might as well have been a wall to her.

I locked her wrists in my grip and forced them down by her sides as I pressed my forehead against hers. “Oh, I’m mental, baby, and rule number one is never give us crazy ones any pussy.” I lifted my head just enough to meet the fire in her gaze. “Unfortunately for you, beautiful, you lost that privilege.”

I yanked her off my desk with the gentleness of a bull in a china shop and dragged her across the room before throwing her insubordinate ass out of my office.

The commotion drew the gazes of everyone in the workshop below, but they all wisely pretended they didn’t see the new receptionist lying on the floor and me standing over her and promptly got back to work.

I waited on the threshold of my office as Atlas struggled to her feet. Her chest was heaving as she glared at me with murder in her eyes, but all it did was make my dick harder.

“Get back to work, beautiful. I’m not paying you to stand around flirting with me.”

With a growl, she flew at me with her fist cocked, so I stepped back and slammed the door in her face.

“I hate you!” she screamed from the other side. The door thumped once from her pounding her fist.

“I hate that pussy too!” I yelled back with a smile. “That’s why I’m going to beat it up.” I leaned against my desk and watched her shadow underneath the door. Atlas didn’t move until a full minute later.

And she called me a psycho.

In my thirty-five years, I’d never courted a female before. As first attempts go, I have to say that it went fucking splendidly.

I’d done it.

I’d made it a whole week at Pride of Kings.

There had even been a pool going on whether or not I’d make it a measly seven days. By the end of the week, the bet had reached a whopping five hundred bucks, which Tuesday had won. She’d been the only one who believed I’d make it to the end of the day after Rowdy ripped me a new one earlier for messing up his lunch order again.

It was Friday evening, and everyone had been buzzing with excitement for the party tonight. Apparently, a POK party was legendary, and even though it was technically a company party, the guest list wasn’t employee exclusive. I had no intentions of attending, so I didn’t share in the hysteria.
