“I guess that’s what you can call me, a ball of cuteness.” Harlow looked at him, and if he had truly been interested in her, for her, she might have considered it. “So, do you want to tell me your name?”

The man before her smiled but he didn’t offer his name. Instead, he laughed and she watched as his jaw clenched.

“They’re coming, aren’t they?” he asked.

Harlow tensed up. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

“You’re a fucking shit liar.” He grabbed her wrist and began to squeeze it tightly. She opened her mouth and at the same time attempted to keep in her scream but it was proving to be a real struggle. She couldn’t think. “Make a sound, alert your friend and then she will be involved. But shut your mouth, get to your feet, and I’ll make sure your friend is not hurt.”

She hated this. Ultimatums pissed her off, but for Hailey she would do that. She let her friend go and he lifted her to her feet. She didn’t look back, not even as he led them toward the main door. Her heart was racing. She knew he was going to hurt her. There was no doubt he was going to make her suffer.

This was not how he wanted to play it.

They stepped out into the night and sure enough, with no witnesses, the gun he had at his hip lifted and was pointed directly at her head.

She also knew why, there, heading toward them like a force themselves were the Hell’s Bastards MC. Her brother was there, as was Raven and Smokey, Hunter, Brick, and several others, but she couldn’t turn her head too far.

They all looked fucking furious. It better not be at her. They were the ones who hadn’t been able to find them. She hadn’t even been looking and he’d fallen right into her lap and now she was pissed off. This was supposed to be a girls’ night, she and Hailey enjoying themselves, but club business had invaded that.

The man behind her tutted. “Look at the trouble you caused,” he said, growling the words against her head.

“Maybe you should have thought twice about approaching me.”

“Harlow!” Big Dick said.

“What? I’m not going to take the blame just because this man is a dick and didn’t know when to leave shit alone.” She couldn’t help but look toward Hunter and the moment she did, she realized something. “It was you, wasn’t it! You filmed us, you sick fuck.”

The man behind her laughed.

“They did say you had attitude but I didn’t believe it. Not with how easily I saw you controlled by cock.” He flicked his tongue down her cheek and Harlow cringed. This was fucking disgusting. She hated him, no, that wasn’t even a strong enough word. This fucker had ruined everything. Well, he hadn’t told Hunter to end things with her.

She looked toward Big Dick.

“Let me guess, the new leader of the Twisted Bastards MC,” Smokey said.

“Pleased to make your acquaintance.”

“Do you have a name?” Hunter asked.

“Yeah, stupid fucker,” Harlow said.

He grabbed his hand around her throat and she clawed at him.

“I suggest you be careful how you speak,” he said. “Your friends might be here, but that doesn’t mean you’re safe.” He had the gun pointed at her head and was still able to cut off her air. She was struggling to breathe.

“Let her the fuck go!” Big Dick said.

“How about you lower your weapons to the ground? All of them.”

Harlow felt her vision getting blurry and he let her throat go. She sucked in oxygen, desperate to breathe. Desperate to live. She didn’t want to die.

Tears filled her eyes. She hated this. The power this man had was not right.

The sound of a car could be heard. “If you don’t lower your weapons, then it’s quite simple, I take out your sister and several of your men. Do you think I came alone?”

He tightened his hold around her neck, once again cutting off air supply. Harlow couldn’t think, she could only beg and hope everything would be okay. She felt close to death, and then he allowed her to breathe.

With the guns lowered to the floor, he moved them, keeping the gun pointed at her head. The car pulled up, and then he climbed inside, which forced her to her knees. He tightened his grip on her one final time.

“The name’s Cadeon, and I’ll be seeing you all soon.”

And with that, he shoved her forward. Harlow had to scramble to get away from the car as it nearly ran her over. She was covered in dirt and she pressed her face against her knees, as everything seemed to go blurry. She had pain in her throat.

“Harlow!”

She lifted her head as she heard Hailey’s voice. There was no doubt in her mind that there would be bruising around her neck. The tightness of his grip had seen to that.
