Harlow laughed and he saw her eyes glistening. “Romantic.”

“I know I fucked everything up. I know I don’t deserve you, and I know you could have any man in this world, but know this, I will hunt them all down. None of them will ever be as good for you as I am. They don’t have what it takes to take care of you.”

Harlow cupped his face. “Shut up.”

“Marry me, Harlow.”

She stared into his eyes. “I will marry you, but on one condition.”

“Name it.”

“You never, ever, hurt me like that again, and you’ve got to swear you will never look at another woman, and don’t even breathe in their direction.”

“I believe that is three conditions, but I will grant you all of them.”

He got to his feet, pulled her in close, and kissed her. Hunter felt like he’d been drowning, but now as his lips touched hers, he was finally alive. She was everything.

This woman had gotten under his skin, and she had never gone away, and the truth was, he didn’t want her to go.

She was his everything.

He took the engagement ring from the box and slid it into her finger. A perfect fit, just as he knew it would be. Harlow fitted him perfectly.

She was everything.

Beautiful.

Pure.

All his.

Taking hold of her hand, he led her into the clubhouse.

“Hunter, where are we going?”

“You said you’d marry me, and I got everything ready. All you need is to say I do.”

Stepping into the clubhouse, he showed Harlow exactly what he had prepared and he felt her mouth fall open.

“I wanted everything to be perfect for you.”

“Hunter, this is all perfect,” she said.

That was all he needed to hear. He intended to make every single moment perfect for her.

Epilogue

One Year Later

“We’re not going through that again,” Hunter said.

Harlow lifted her head and looked over at her husband. “We will.”

“No, I can’t go through that again. I refuse to.”

“Come here.” She held her hand out and he didn’t fight her. He went straight to her, and she drew him close. “Look at our little angel. Look at our little sweetheart.”

Hunter sighed and stared down at their baby girl.

The moment he looked into her beautiful face, all hope was lost. Hunter felt an overwhelming need to protect. For a few seconds during the labor, he had hated the baby as his wife screamed in agony.

From the moment Harlow had told him she was pregnant, he had been terrified. Women died during childbirth. Harlow’s pregnancy had been amazing. Yes, she had the morning sickness, and she had the sex drive as well. She had been insatiable, and Hunter had been there every time she needed him.

Even when she couldn’t move and she had to ask for help, which he knew embarrassed her, he’d been there by her side. It was a dream come true.

Life at the club hadn’t been easy, and he knew he had been a selfish fuck to keep her, but he couldn’t lose her. She belonged to him.

“Tell me you don’t love her,” Harlow said.

“You know I can’t do that. I promised you I would never lie to you, and that would be lying.” He pressed a kiss to her lips. “Nothing can happen to you.”

Harlow smiled. “Nothing will happen. I trust you.”

He cupped her face and stared into her eyes. Hunter didn’t know when or how he had gotten so lucky, but he was not letting her go. He had nearly lost this precious woman.

All his life, he had said the club would come first, that no woman would ever take a place in his life. Until he met Harlow.

She was his everything. No one was ever taking her away from him. Nor his baby girl.

“We have to name her,” Harlow said.

“Let’s name her something ugly so none of the guys ever want her,” Hunter said.

Harlow laughed. “Not happening.”

“What is your favorite name?” he asked.

“Rosa, I love the name Rosa.”

Hunter smiled. “Welcome to the world, our little Rosa.”
