“Hmm…let’s see. Okay, how about this? I met a guy named Nash, and he had a lot of cash. Turns out he’s not all flash, and we’re gonna eat some hash…browns.”

I laughed and kissed her lightly. “Are you saying you’re hungry?”

“Starving.”

“I’ll make us some food. And then we’re coming right back to this bed for round two.”

“Agreed, but where’s my poem?”

I considered her question, knowing that I’d never in my life written a poem. So I decided to wing it, like she had.

“I met a girl named Sariah, and she’s not a liah.”

She laughed, and I continued, feeling encouraged.

“Damn is she fine, and can she ever sixty-nine.” I quickly winked at her before grabbing her hand and leading her down the hallway to the kitchen.

“Nice. I guess I know what you have planned for round two.”

Hell. Yeah.

Chapter Nineteen

Sariah

* * *

It had been a long time since I woke up to a warm, hard body pressed against me in bed. Theo had liked to sprawl out, meaning he was usually diagonal in the bed by morning, sheets and blankets everywhere, his body as far away from mine as possible. Nash was the opposite, having stayed practically glued to me all night long. Even when we weren’t having sex. And there had been a lot of sex.

When we ran out of condoms, we showered and switched to oral, and that was pretty much the end of me. I’d never come so hard, or so many times, and still wanted more. He was the most generous and giving lover I’d ever been with, but in the light of day, I suddenly didn’t know what to do. While my body still basked in what I could only describe as a sensual, tingling afterglow, my brain was in overload.

Now he knew where I lived.

Now I’d have to look at him at work almost every day.

Now he might think I was interested in more than sex.

Ugh.

What had I been thinking?

I slid out from under his arm and hurried to the bathroom. I had to be at work in less than an hour and my hair was a wild halo around my head. A quick shower and a few minutes with the blow-dryer would tame my hair. Then I’d figure out how to get out of the apartment with the least amount of awkwardness once I was done getting ready.

The water sluiced over me and I closed my eyes. I only had a few minutes to luxuriate in hot water and condition my hair, so I tried not to think about the Adonis asleep in my bed. I’d glanced over my shoulder on my way to the bathroom and mentally confirmed he was the sexiest man alive. And lying there naked in my bed didn’t hurt either.

I started as strong arms wrapped around my waist from behind.

“Didn’t mean to scare you.” His voice was thick from sleep, but his touch was light as his fingers skimmed my belly.

“Good morning,” I murmured, leaning into him even as my brain screamed no. My body had a mind of its own, though, and when he kissed the soft spot behind my ear, I sighed.

“Were you planning to sneak out of your own apartment?” he asked in a playful tone, the fingers of one hand traveling down to the apex of my thighs.

“N-no…” I sighed and let my eyes close again. “Just have to get ready for work—Nash!” I squealed as he slid a finger inside of me.

“You know we don’t need condoms for me to make you feel good.”

“Mmm.” I groaned as he nudged my thighs apart and began circling my clit with his fingers.

“You’re already wet.”

“I can’t imagine why,” I murmured.

He used his hand to cup my mound, squeezing a little and then sliding two fingers inside of me. The heel of his palm was pressed against my clit as he finger fucked me and within a couple of minutes, I was surging against his hand. I came with a soft cry, shuddering against his strong chest.

“If I could start every day watching you come like that, my life would be pretty fucking perfect,” he said, kissing the side of my neck.

Oh, geez.

What was I doing? I’d been trying to sneak away from him, not let him seduce me all over again.

“I have to go to work,” I whispered, though I was still pressed tightly against him, my back to his front.

“I know. Me too. Just a couple more minutes.” He rested his chin on my shoulder. “I had a great time last night, Sariah.”

“Me too.”

Shit, this was it. The moment where he’d say he wanted to see me again or send me packing. Since I didn’t want to deal with either of those scenarios, I forced myself to pull away and began rinsing the conditioner out of my hair. When I was finished, I leaned up on my toes and pressed a light kiss to his lips.
