That was such an unexpected statement, it broke through Arden’s gloom and he snorted. “It’s called a clitoris, but I wouldn’t know much about it.” Maybe it hadn’t been the best idea to talk about Luke back at the museum, but telling Mike why he’d had to flee made his chest that bit lighter. As if he wasn’t alone with his worries but had an ally who truly wanted to support him.

“People are just animals after all,” Mike said and placed his hand on the back of the bench, right behind Arden.

Arden pulled his feet up and rested them on the edge of the seat, hugging his knees. “I know the clit is somewhere in the elbow, but is it the left one or the right one?” He winked at Mike.

“In my experience, the key to a woman’s happiness can be anywhere,” Mike said and dove in. Arden wanted to pull away, but when Mike’s nose slid under his jaw, and warm lips rubbed his skin, his lips uttered the tiniest gasp as pleasure danced up his back.

Arden laughed and slid his fingers into Mike’s hair. “I don’t know if you’re romantic or just really kinky.”

Their faces were so painfully close. Their lips less than two inches apart. All he’d have to do was lean in, and Mike would have met him halfway. But he shouldn’t.

“I’m a man who can do both,” Mike said, grinning.

Arden pressed his hand to Mike’s face and playfully pushed him away. “Stop it or I’ll call the cops on you, and when they ask me why, I’ll tell them you’re so sexy it should be illegal. And you don’t want that, because then they’ll arrest me for hoax calling.”

Mike chuckled and stretched, staring up into the sky. “There’s no other way around it. If we can’t be at that museum and watch men deepthroating, I need to get you a big… fat… ice cream.”

Arden kept laughing when Mike wiggled his eyebrows. “That sounds acceptable. I’ll show you how to eat one. You can look, but not touch.”

Mike shifted so his knee touched Arden’s thigh, his sandy hair tickling Arden’s cheek while the scent of wood and earthy perfume reached him with the soft breeze. “Will you eat it for me in lingerie?”

Arden cocked his head and played with a curly strand of hair that fell on his forehead. “I will,” he whispered.

So wrong. I so shouldn’t do that.

Chapter 11 – Mike

Mike liked it when their business partners had money-counting machines. It made doing cash-only transactions so much easier. He smiled, packing the bill folds into his backpack. “It’s always good doing business with you.”

Though while he kept the conversation going, flirted with Mr. Wong’s secretary, and exchanged jokes with the man himself, his mind lingered on Arden, who waited for Mike at a vegetarian Ramen place just around the corner. They were far away from Luke, and Mike was positive they hadn’t been followed, but he still worried for the boy’s safety. A man who hired goons to abduct their former partner may be cowardly but not less dangerous.

Mike wanted to return to Arden’s side as soon as possible.

Fortunately, the secretary called to inform Mr. Wong someone had come to see him, so Mike exchanged another handshake, flirted with the woman again, and rushed outside. It was already dark, but tourists were still crowding the streets, and Mike swallowed his annoyance at being stuck behind a group taking up the whole sidewalk despite moving at an inconsiderately slow pace.

But as he stood at the crossroads and breathed in the scent of gas and salty food, he spotted Arden on the other side of the street, oblivious to Mike’s presence while he browsed through his phone, slurping something from a tall metal cup.

Sure, Arden was male, and Mike had gotten a glimpse of his dick, but the way he presented himself transcended gender. He wore his curly hair down today, and it was like a mint and lilac halo around his pretty face. He’d been much paler when they met, but he’d tanned a bit since then, which meant freckles had bloomed on his nose and cheeks. Some days he powdered his skin and made them less visible, while on other days he embraced them and even drew on more.

He must have taken into account the long trip, knowing he’d spend hours in a helmet, so he had a more natural look going on, with mascara on his already-long lashes as the statement feature. The white sleeveless top with Sailor Moon, which he’d paired with pale blue skinny jeans looked both casual and cute. He’d teased Mike that he would have worn a skirt if they weren’t going by bike, and that fantasy was still in Mike’s head along with that of lacy panties and stockings under such a skirt.
