“Not until you come.” He slid his arm around my waist, taking my cock and jerking me as he continued pushing his cock against my prostate. He worked me until I came, and then he shot in the condom inside me, his body jerking and shaking in that way I was becoming more familiar with the more time we spent fucking.

Something I was enjoying getting used to.

We cleaned up in Sawyer’s en-suite bathroom before returning to the bed. Still naked, we collapsed onto the mattress, not just from the stress of what we’d worked up physically, but because we’d both been working nonstop. I’d just arrived back in the Falls early that morning and taken a good nap before we were able to make up for lost time.

“A vacay day in Sawyer Burke’s bed doesn’t sound like such a horrible fate,” I admitted as I crawled back to the pillow.

“Not at all.” He slipped behind me, draping his arm around my waist effortlessly as his pelvis pulled close.

“Ooh, careful,” I warned. “Burns a little from those spankings.”

“Oh, was it too much—”

“I’m kidding, Saw. I think you’ve more than seen that I’m fairly durable as well,” I said, referencing his comment when we’d fallen off the bed.

He nestled his face against my neck, biting softly, the way he’d done a few times when we’d been fucking. “Just being careful not to break my new fucktoy.”

“Naughty Sawyer’s fucktoy sounds about right.”

“Plus, you’re going to be gone again this weekend, so I feel like I have to take advantage while I can.”

Elliott had already booked me for another trip to NYC. A short one, yes, but still, an inconvenience nonetheless. I’d become so accustomed to spending time in the Falls that I’d never hesitated to take on local projects. Hell, I even helped organize one of the town’s annual festivals. But as business picked up for KlineSmart, I’d had to put the brakes on the drag queen story time I’d been so eager to put on with Sawyer. Sucked, but my job had to come first.

“You’ve been taking advantage for the past half hour since I got here, you greedy motherfucker.”

He tugged me a little closer. We’d messed around plenty of times since that first incredible experience, when he’d fucking shaken me to my core, but this…the way he was holding me, staying so close, was relatively new.

I sure as hell didn’t hate it.

I would have, had it been anyone but Sawyer, but I enjoyed the great fucks mixed with this sweeter side. And it wasn’t just that he was sweet. He was my friend.

“Thankfully it’s only another weekend, and the sex when I get back is always worth the wait.”

I didn’t like having to turn my head to talk to him, so I rolled toward him. His arm didn’t lift much, except to allow me to make the move, and then he tugged me as close to him as he had when I was facing away from him.

“It’s funny,” he said. “I was pretty used to not getting off all the time, and now I feel like I’m anxious if I haven’t gotten it in a few days.”

“Who knew you just needed to throw someone around a bit to ease all that tension from working nonstop at the bookstore? Believe it or not, you’re slightly more tolerable than you used to be.”

“Only slightly? A little more than that, I’d think.”

“Maybe a lot more, but I’m worried about feeding your ego any more than I already have. You’re growing increasingly cocky. Apparently, it’s a recessive gene in you.”

The afternoon light that flooded in through the window blinds created a glow from behind him—as if he needed any help looking like my naughty angel.

“You give me plenty of reasons to feel cocky,” he said, “Mr. Watches Me While I’m Sleeping. Stalk much?”

“Wait. What?”

“I caught you the other morning, before you headed to Edinburgh, watching me like a creep.”

I blushed.

“Oh, look who got who to blush.”

I attempted to cover my face with my hand, but he pulled it away, clearly to revel in his victory.

“Again, we can go back to the beginning when I was the one making you uncomfortable,” I said, instinctively moving closer to him the way I might have back when moving closer to him would have made him uneasy.

He mirrored my move before licking my lips and pushing a kiss on me. “Not as easy as it used to be, is it?” he challenged.

“You think you’re so clever, but it just means I have to find new ways to get under your skin. And I’m a fast learner.”

“As you’ve learned, so am I. Here, I’ll pretend to be asleep, if you want to keep staring.” Sawyer rested his head on the pillow and closed his eyes. He waited a moment before releasing a snore.
