“Sam.” Worth made a needy noise. If he called an end to this madness, I would let him go, but what I truly wanted was for neither of us to stop and think. Just do, like some energetic sports campaign, full speed ahead. He moaned again, low and urgent. “More.”

Yes. More. More I could do. I pressed him against the wall next to the fridge, effectively trapping him between the fridge and the edge of the counter. He seemed to like the tight fit, groaning softly and slumping against the wall.

“Yes.” He met my next kiss with an eagerness that only made me that much hungrier for him. I delved deep, following some instinct I hadn’t known I possessed. The harder I kissed him, the more he melted against me. When I released his mouth to nip at his jaw, he shuddered. “That. Oh. That. Sam.”

“That’s right. Say my name.” I loved how my name sounded on his lips, all drawn out and raspy.

“Sam,” he repeated as I intensified my attack on his jaw, moving to his ear and his neck, licking the tendons and his Adam’s apple, nibbling along his T-shirt collar before drifting back up. “Oh, God, kiss me enough there, and I might come in my pants.”

“Sounds like a challenge.” Pulling back slightly, I grinned at him before diving back into feasting on his neck. He wriggled, and I growled and pushed him harder into the wall. He stretched his arms overhead, a clear invitation, and I pinned his arms with one hand while further exposing his neck with the other. It was a possessive, blatantly sensual hold, and it made my cock throb.

“Oh wow.” Worth flexed, testing my grip, and I tightened my hands. “You’re stronger than you look.”

“I’ll take that as a compliment.” I returned to nipping and licking his neck. He might have marks later, but neither of us seemed to care, not with the way he kept straining against me for more. “You like this? Like when I pin you?”

“Yes, God, yes.” Worth arched his back, aligning his groin with mine. We were both hard, and when I ran my teeth down the cords of his neck, Worth ground against me. “Sam, I’m not kidding about coming.”

“Good.” I wanted to make him climax so badly that I physically ached from the need, but I also wanted control, that heady, bubbly sensation of knowing Worth was all mine. “But not yet. Wait.”

Worth frowned, then bucked his hips. I rewarded his insubordination by shoving him back against the wall, trapping him with my hands, chest, pelvis, and thighs. No escape, and if there was going to be any grinding, I was in charge. To that end, I started a slow, subtle rhythm, like a distant song.

“Yes.” Worth closed his eyes, lips parting, jaw going slack. He wanted this, wanted my rough treatment and my domination. He trembled like a leaf from even my smallest movements and the soft, soft kisses I pressed against his mouth.

“You’re doing so good,” I whispered. This was undoubtedly praise he didn’t want. Too bad. He was going to hear it anyway. “So good, holding still and waiting.”

To my surprise, Worth didn’t object, only shuddered more. He vibrated with barely contained need. “Please.”

Even now, too skinny, thanks to his stomach issues, he could still likely overpower me. We were roughly the same size, but he had more natural muscle. And yet, he didn’t use it against me, didn’t take over, or even try to goad me into going quicker.

Waiting. Worth was waiting because I’d demanded it, and even if it hurt, even if it was difficult, even if his instincts were screaming at him to move, he was going to wait. And in that moment, I understood the true gift of his submission and the appeal of being the one to earn that submission.

In all the stories I’d devoured, I’d always identified more with the character taking charge of the situation but had never quite understood why. I wanted this. Not only for Worth but for myself. I wanted to be what Worth wanted and needed, but I needed this too. Needed the rush of power and the gratification of him following my commands. Knowing he was willing to bear the discomfort of waiting simply because I asked was almost better than coming myself.

In fact, I felt super-charged, like I could go all night rocking against him, hardness meeting hardness, so close I swore I could feel his pulse. His every exhale pushed his chest into mine and each inhale grew shakier and shakier.

“Please. Please.” He tilted his head, offering me his neck again, and I surged against him, claiming the patch of skin and him. He smelled sweet and spicy and vaguely of my favorite brand of soap. “Bite me. Mark me. Please, Sam.”
