Though I had a little more experience than she did, I was by no means an expert, but I knew what I wanted for her. It’s not as difficult as one would think, putting someone else first, in fact, I kinda like it.

“Let’s walk on the beach beautiful.” I like that she blushes when I call her that, but even more that she’s come to accept those words from me. “Wait.” I went back into the room and got the jacket from my Tux to protect her from the night breeze.

I took her hand and walked her outside into the beautiful evening breeze of the Indian ocean. It was finally hitting home that she was really mine, that I could now do all the things I had planned in my head for her, with her.

I know Jace had a huge vendetta against some of the people back in L.A. and though mine didn’t run as deep, there were some there that I wanted to prove wrong. But instead of going after them, I was going to show the girl that they’d ostracized her whole life what she was worth.

“Are you warm enough?”

“Yes thank you, it’s warm here.” She pulled the jacket a little closer over the cute little summer dress I’m sure my sister had browbeat her into buying.

My baby still doesn’t think her body is good enough to wear certain things and short summer dresses was one of them. If she knew what was going on inside me at the sight of her thick thighs in that thing she would think differently.

It was hell keeping my libido in check all night, in fact all day as well. It’s as if as soon as the words I now pronounce you man and wife left the priest’s lips, I was ready to jump her. And the only reason I was able to control myself, is because of her.

She’s mine! Mine to cherish in every way. And one of those ways was waiting until she was ready. All throughout the spectacular dinner on the beach, with the light show and live band playing off to the side, she’d shown me in little ways that she was ready. I would’ve given her more time if her mind hadn’t started going south. She thought I didn’t want her.

The thing is, she didn’t even have to tell me that, I know her well enough that I read that shit coming off of her in waves. And that I could not have. So I decided that once everyone else had gone to bed, or wherever they went off to, that I would show her how wrong she was.

I looked down at her beautiful face in the moonlight and my heart was so full, I couldn’t resist the need to stop and turn her into my arms. She looked up at me with such hope, such trust.

I held her head in my hands and looked down at her for the longest while, then lowered my head to lick her lips softly until they opened, before covering them gently with mine.

I wanted to cherish as much as I wanted to ravish. There was so much emotion in that kiss. I tried to tell her without words all that was in my heart. I still felt fear of the unknown, that fear that my dad told me would fade with time. But it was no match for the love that beat within me.

“You’re my wife.” I said the words against her lips and heard her sigh before I pulled away again. Taking her hand, I led her to the place that I’d prepared.

It was a little ways away from the compound that Jace’s family owns. And since there were no other buildings around, was perfectly secluded for what I had in mind.

The staff had set out the blankets and lit the candles under one of the cabanas. Her eyes lit up and she smiled at me when she saw it. I’d had local flowers in vases placed around the cabana, because I knew she liked them, and because their fragrance added a little something extra to the evening.

I walked over to the radio after seating her, to turn it on to something soft and slow. “Dance with me.” I lifted her hand and pulled her into my chest where she rested her head.

It was magical, swaying to the strings of the music as the evening breeze that was neither cool nor hot, swayed around us. The sky was a blanket of stars, and I couldn’t think of anything more perfect, with the backdrop of crashing waves.

One song ended and another began before I felt the tension leave her. I kneaded her nape with my fingers as I lifted her head to kiss her. “I’m going to have you now Belle, will you let me?”
