If her ass wants to be secretive I’ma show her there are ways around that shit. I didn’t care that I too keep secrets from her. Because the shit I keep from her is to keep her ass safe. Her keeping this from me is so she could stick her nose in shit that doesn’t concern her. Nosy ass!

“Saints preserve me, Jace go somewhere and sit down please.” This boy has been on my ass for the past week and a half. Now I’ve made the mistake of letting him tag along with his friends while us girls went shopping and he’s making me nuts.

“You wanna go home? You’re tired right. Keep popping off shit at me with that mouth of yours.” He grouched at me and I gave him the mean girl side eye which he totally ignored.

It’s not normal for one person to be such a pain in the ass. I was ready to revolt while the others were having a grand ole time at my expense. As always.

I might as well have told him because he sure the heck is acting like he knows. I don’t think I’ve had a moment to myself in days and if he feeds me one more thing I’m going to gut punch him.

I thought the hallways of Eden High were the worst, but today he has proven that he can be even nuttier when out and about in public.

He wouldn’t let me carry anything, he fought with one of the attendants when she wouldn’t allow him in the dressing room with me, and threatened to close down the whole mall which as it turns out belongs to his damn family.

The thing is, I’ve never seen Jace pushing his weight around to get his way. But once he started a ruckus and this guy who I still have no clue who he is, came down from the offices upstairs and saw Jace it was like Elizabeth the second had come calling.

He started snapping his fingers and barking out orders while apologizing to Jace and everyone rushed to do his bidding.

“Jace, what’s going on?” People were being ushered out of the stores I wanted to go into until we were the only ones left in that particular store.

He didn’t seem in the least bit fazed and it reminded me of the school auditorium all over again. Some floors were even cleared altogether before we reached their level. Madness!

“Nothing’s going on, go shop.”

“I can get used to this.” Valerie is the only one who didn’t seem the least bit in awe of this turn of events. Maybe I should take a page from her book, she seems to know well how to roll with the punches.

And the guys, well, they were all acting like this was normal. Down the rabbit hole again for yours truly. Meanwhile, Belle, Tammy and even Cassie seemed a little out of their depth when we walked into my favorite store and the sales assistants fawned all over us like royalty.

The guys stood around the entrance to the store like they expected an invasion, and I know I’ve seen those two men in the shades walking back and forth more than once since we arrived here.

“Jace!” I hissed out his name and he came strolling over like he didn’t have a care in the world.

“What’s up baby? You don’t see anything you like?”

“Jace, it’s the Hermes store, what’s not to like? Who are those men?”

“What men?” He looked around directly at the two men I pointed out to him.

“Those two.”

“How the hell should I know? I don’t know everyone in L.A.” He walked away again but I knew he was lying. “Just for that, I’m buying two bags.”

He didn’t need to know that I’d have to order the really expensive ones since they didn’t carry them in the store. “I already had mom order you the coming season’s limited editions. You should call and make sure you don’t buy the same thing twice, or at least get a different color.”

I hung my head and went back to looking at summer wraps for the beach. I guess he realized I like bags at some point. He doesn’t miss a damn step. I have to come up with ways to keep him on his toes. Can’t have him constantly one-upping me.

I saw that Tammy and Belle were just looking while Cassie, Valerie and I had our hands full. I always forget the money situation. Why am I such a horrible friend?

I was about to suggest going elsewhere because I know those two wouldn’t let me buy them stuff, but just then the boys seemed to notice as well and Jared and Shane went over to them.

There was a lot of head shaking and whispering going on and Jace the nut saw the look on my face and came over to bother me. I explained the situation and he handled things the way only Jace can.
