Sara anxiously looks at the boys before coming back to me with her chin raised, feigning confidence. I’m not going to lie, she definitely gets credit for having the balls to stand here like this. Most girls who get hit with that deadly stare of Carver’s would have already backed down. “Do you really think that you can just fuck off for weeks, then come back here as though nothing ever happened?”

I groan. “What the fuck are you even talking about?” I ask, figuring that if she wants to fuck with my morning that I have every right to fuck with hers.

She looks at me as though I’m crazy. “You fucking punched me. I should have had you arrested.”

“You trespassed onto my property and forced your way into my home, plus you were aggressive, but you know what?” I say, bringing my fingers to my chin and pretending to be deep in thought. “I really don’t know what you’re talking about. I remember you storming into my house and practically begging to get me naked, but punching you? Why are you lying about what really happened? Are you embarrassed about it? Maybe you hit your head when you fell.”

Sara’s eyes go wide and I hold back the laugh that threatens to spill out of my mouth. “What? I … No. You’re fucking with me. I know what happened. You punched me. I’ve had your stupid, cheap rings bruised into my face for three fucking weeks and you’re not going to get away with it. Do you have any idea how much money my daddy had to fork out for the plastic surgeon to fix my face?”

“You’re confused,” I insist, staring right into her eyes and watching how her pupils dilate. “You were yelling. You were upset that I didn’t want to get with you and then you just passed out and cut yourself against the foyer table. The boys even went with you in the ambulance to make sure that you were alright.”

Sara shakes her head, looking between the boys, knowing damn well they didn’t ride with her. But now she’s questioning her memory, and that’s all that matters. “You’re lying,” she seethes. “You’re nothing but a lying, dirty … slut.”

I shrug my shoulders. The last time she called me a slut, she ended up with my fist in her face, so I guess she isn’t one who learns from her mistakes, but today, I simply just don’t have the energy to deal with her.

I step into her and watch as she sucks in a breath. “What do you want from me?” I question, lowering my voice as Grayson flinches, moving in closer. “I’ve already made it clear that I’m not about to get on my knees and eat your pussy, and I’ve already made it clear what happens when you get in my face and start talking shit, so what do you want? Why are you here fucking with my morning?”

Sara clenches her jaw, and as she watches me and sees the anger pulsing within my eyes, she begins to panic. Her eyes flick between the boys and me, and if I were to listen hard enough, I bet that I could hear the thoughts inside her head, scrambling to figure out what the hell to say.

Sara swallows hard, but as she sees the other students watching, a fake confidence settles over her. But she can’t fool me. I see the fear shining right through her false bravado. “You used me. You have the whole fucking school thinking that I’m hot for you when it’s clear that you’re the one who wants to fuck, but unfortunately for you, I’m not into bitches who sell themselves. You’re fucking trash, and it’s clear by the way these guys hang off you that you’re fucking all of them, but what for? Are you making a little cash?” she laughs, eyeing me up and down with disgust. “They must all be fucked in the head, because God knows that I’d never pay for that.”

A howling laugh bubbles out of me. “Are you serious? This is the best you’ve got?”

Sara’s eyes narrow and she tosses her hair over shoulder, making her look more plastic than her nose. “This is the end of the road for you. You’re not going to get away with it. I’m going to expose you to everyone, and when I do, you’re done.”

A grin pulls at my lips as I lean into her and lower my voice to a deathly whisper. “A war is not something that you want with me,” I warn her. “But now that you’ve gone and declared yourself in front of all these people, you’ve left me with absolutely no choice but to destroy you. So, thank you. This is going to be the most fun that I’ve had in years.”
