“My good girl.” His fingers slip from my hole and then he brings them to his lips, sucking them off. “So fucking good. I can’t wait to spread you out and have a full meal instead of a snack.”

“Dario, you’re…”

“Boss, we’re almost home,” his driver said. I blush reminded that we’re not alone.

“Great.” He adjusts my panties and then covers my legs with the suit coat, smiling devilishly in the moonlight.

It’s so dark as we pass large trees that block the moon, and then a large iron fence appears. There are two stone-pillared posts that frame the massive, elegant gates, screaming luxury.

The vehicle briefly stops at the entrance, and then we drive through the cobblestone parkway. It’s lit up to the main portico that has dual columns, looking absolutely lovely. My mouth falls open in awe, having only seen this type of beauty online or on television. Of course a mafioso would have something this awesome.

“This will be your home from now on, amore. Does it please you?”

“It will do,” I answer, as if I’ve somehow seen better. Yeah, not even possible, but I’m not going to tell him that.

He growls against my ear, which does untold pleasurable things to me. “You truly enjoy being a pain in my ass.”

“I’ve only just begun,” I answer, tilting my head and winking at him.

“Then to be fair, I promise to be a pain in yours as well.” He slides his finger under my panties, right between my cheeks. “The pain will be up to you, my sweet wife.” With a quick motion, he snaps my panties and slaps my ass.

“Asshole.”

He grins. “Exactly. Now, come along. I want you to get some rest.”

“What about my clothes and things? My sister. She’s going to be freaked out when I don’t get a hold of her by tomorrow afternoon like I usually do.”

He brushes his hand down my cheek and I hate that it has such a sensual effect on me. “Calm yourself because you can make up a story, and then once we’re married and we have a few days to ourselves, she can visit.”

“What? She’s not going to believe I married you by choice.” June knows me well and the path I’m on for the future. I want to be in law enforcement and Dario Conti is the exact opposite of all things legal. Hell, even his touch should be criminal.

He just chuckles as if he doesn’t take me seriously. “She will, because you have a choice, amore.”

Damn him. “Well, not a good one.” I stomp my foot, nearly getting his expensive, covered one, but he quickly moves his feet.

Glaring at me and then gripping my biceps, he says, “Yes, sometimes life is like that, isn’t it?”

We head to the front door, and it’s opened by another guard in a suit who looks tough, but with Dario by my side, I’m not bothered by any of these guys. Although, I wouldn’t tell him that. He’s an asshole—a hot asshole, but one nonetheless.

The door closes behind us, and I know my fate has been sealed with that clicked lock.

“Welcome home, May.”

Chapter Ten

Dario

The second the door closes behind us, I smile. She’s trapped in my home. My wife-to-be. She has no idea that I won’t settle for anything less than marriage. The threats against her sister are full of shit, but May doesn’t need to be made aware of it just yet.

“So when is this sham of a wedding supposed to take place?” she asks after a moment, pretending that she’s not scared or nervous.

“Amore. You came on my hand so effortlessly. Nothing about this marriage will be a sham. The judge will be meeting us tomorrow.”

“Don’t we have to wait?” Fear has returned to her pretty face.

“See, that’s where you’re wrong. I don’t have to wait for anything. Would you like me to retrieve your sister, or will you cooperate with me?”

“I hate you.”

“Amore, love, hate—either way, the sex will be intense and pleasurable. Come now.” I take her hand and lead her up the staircase straight to our bedroom. As much as I want to give her space to adjust tonight, my queen cannot be trusted.

“Please, I need to message my sister. She will worry if she doesn’t hear from me.”

“Why don’t you call her in the morning?”

“She’s working early at her job and keeps her phone on silent in the morning.”

“Fine.” I watch her type a message. Can’t talk for a couple of days, traveling to help a friend. I love you, June bug.

A pang shoots through my chest at the affection she gives freely to her sister. I shouldn’t be jealous of her, but there’s a bit of resentment at the effortless way she says she loves her.

“Do you normally go out of your way to help friends?”

“No.”

“Then she’s going to be suspicious.”
