Dammit. Cash mentally berated himself. He kept having these repeated lust-filled blips. Every few minutes his brain zoned out for thirty seconds, bowled over by an attraction that physically overwhelmed him.

Instead of getting lost in the self-recrimination, Cash focused on what he’d learned in the last five or so minutes.

First, as he’d hoped, Dev had responded to his over-the-top excuse for making contact. Of course, he’d never go jogging in this neighborhood after dark. Clearly, undercover agents weren’t on Dev’s radar, which in itself was weird. The Disciples had a reputation for staying two steps ahead of every operation the DEA had initiated. They didn’t do that by not being vigilant.

Second, he’d somehow wormed his way into Dev’s apartment. Cash had to search for existing surveillance equipment without being noticed. It shouldn’t be too big a problem with the hovel Dev lived in.

Third, why did Dev live like such a pig? Cash’s natural tidiness begged him to jump in and toss away all the garbage of Dev’s cluttered lifestyle. He had to fight himself to keep from cleaning the small apartment.

Fourth, the overwhelming appreciation Cash had for Dev as a little boy had carried over to Dev the man. But thankfully, not to the extent that nostalgia overrode obligation. He’d be careful with Dev. Always remembering the kindness Dev had once shown. But ultimately, he’d do what had to be done.

Fifth, his body’s reaction to the man. In previous cases, he hadn’t crossed the attraction line before. The line being the way his body had tightened, and his cock went rigid the longer he spent with Dev. Thankfully, he’d grabbed the wind jacket on the way out of his apartment, just in case he was forced to in fact run.

Everything about Dev, the casual way he moved, his deep tan, the sandy blond in his hair that looked sun bleached, maybe naturally darker than it appeared, all spoke to Cash.

The way he filled out his clothes. The strappy bracelets dangling off his wrist. The intriguing display of tattoos peeking from underneath the rolled shirt sleeves of the pearl button, button-up.

The enticing sway of his natural strut.

The way Dev’s eyes pierced Cash’s soul.

The way his hard cock was outlined in those snug fitting Levi’s.

Nervous anticipation tightened his fists as he followed Dev back up the stairs. He could go on and on about Dev’s unique style. To prove he could, he thought about the expert tattoo design that framed Dev’s jawline, making his perfect facial features more pronounced.

He had lips that looked drawn on by Michelangelo himself. A nose that complimented the shape of his face as if molded and sculpted there with the utmost skill.

The slight almond shape of Dev’s eyes framed by long dark lashes. The color blue that wasn’t quite slate, but not a baby blue either.

Luckily, they had made it back to Dev’s door.

He needed back in the agent game.

He should go rub one off in his own bathroom before he did something reckless, like make a show of doing just that behind Dev’s closed doors, for the biker to watch.

Dev’s unique blue eyes would watch as he jacked himself off…

The reality of what his body wanted to happen tonight shifted his priorities. They did need reliable surveillance in Dev’s apartment, but he also didn’t want the recorded evidence to appear for his entire team to see. Revenge porn was a thing. He wouldn’t put it past any of these guys to do something like that in the name of fun. There wasn’t a professional one in the bunch.

Besides, Ben Cross was right. They had mounds of intel on every club member. That was the reason Cash knew Dev was bisexual. Now was the time for Cash to take action. Get Dev comfortable and relaxed. Encourage him to let his guard down.

What could do that better than sex?

“I’ll grab the beer. Anything else we need?” he asked, not making eye contact with Dev as he rounded the banister to head to his apartment.

“Nah, I got everything else,” Dev said.

When Cash reached his apartment door, he looked back. Dev’s shoulder was parked against the doorframe, all of his attention focused on Cash.

The intensity of the piercing stare almost had Cash’s knees buckling. The way Dev’s face held a knowing smirk—no that wasn’t quite right. It was so much more than a smirk. Dev looked like he knew exactly what was on Cash’s mind. As if he’d read his thoughts and agreed with spending the next few hours doing all the extracurricular activities Cash had conjured.

Cash squared his shoulders and returned Dev’s direct stare. No need to be shy or coy.

That now familiar Dev-induced sizzle slammed through him like a lightning bolt as he pushed open his apartment door. The sex-filled buzz completely died in a swift death as Joe stood in the doorway of Cash’s bedroom, surveillance equipment in hand.
