“Your, your umm…”

“Don’t get shy on me now, baby. My what?”

“The outline of your cock,” she says as if she’s flustered to have to speak the words. “It was…”

“Enormous? Mouthwatering? Hard to keep your hands off of?”

“Yes. All of that. I felt so guilty for thinking those things about you.”

I press said cock between her legs, hating the sheet separating us.

“And now?”

“And now it’s all mine.”

“What are you going to do with it?”

“Choke on it just like you promised yesterday.”

“That’s my girl,” I say, pulling the sheet from her body.

Chapter 38

Jules

“What are you thinking?” Kit asks, stepping in behind me to wrap his arms around me.

“That I’m the luckiest woman in the world,” I say, not feeling the slightest bit silly for how cheesy it sounds.

“And here I was thinking I was the luckiest man.”

“We can both feel this way,” I assure him. “But I think Gannon is getting annoyed with you slacking on the work.”

“Gannon was late this morning while everyone else was helping us pack. He can make up for the time he lost.”

I stand, wrapped in his arms as we watch the entire Riggs clan bring in my belongings into Kit’s—our—condo.

We weren’t able to do it the day we talked about it, but now it’s the weekend and we’re making it happen.

I haven’t had a moment of doubt about this man since I showed up here a few days ago.

The wedding is planned for next weekend, and we haven’t gotten a single word of doubt from anyone in our lives. Apparently, the two of us ending up together was a foregone conclusion.

I hate that no one let us in on that damn plan. We could’ve avoided so much heartache.

We’ve talked about our future and the things that have hurt us in the past, and we did it all without getting angry. He didn’t get frustrated and leave when I explained my reasoning in full detail about what I did. He didn’t argue or tell me I was wrong.

He has forgiven me, and I know he plans to show me every day going forward that there are no conditions placed on our love. There’s no ultimatum to him loving me.

“And this?” Gannon asks, holding up one of the remaining boxes of my mother’s things.

“The spare bedroom,” I tell him, drawing a frown from Gannon.

“What?” Kit asks his brother.

“Are you even going to let her unpack anything? Each time I ask, I’m told in the spare bedroom. You need to make room for your soon-to-be wife in your condo, not just your life.”

“We’re moving into a three bedroom in a month,” I say, coming to Kit’s defense. “We’ll mix everything then.”

Gannon raises an eyebrow before nodding. “Okay then.”

“Nosey fucker,” Kit grumbles in my ear as Gannon walks away. “Did I tell you that he asked me why I waited so long to make you mine?”

I turn in his arms, pressing my palms to his chest. “Anders asked if we’ve been sneaking around all these years. According to him, people don’t fall in love so quickly. He’s certain we’re still lying about the timeline.”

“His wife made him work hard for it,” Kit reminds me. “They were fuck buddies for years before she let him in fully.”

“I expected there to be gossip,” I confess. “But I haven’t walked into a room with them whispering a single time.”

“You’re family.” He presses his lips to mine. “We only gossip about outsiders.”

I shake my head, taking a step back from him since I can feel him starting to thicken in his jeans. The last thing he needs is an erection when we’re surrounded by the people we love, and I don’t put it past him to suggest sneaking to the bathroom for a little afternoon relief while they’re steadily carrying my things inside the condo.

He frowns down at me as if I’ve just ruined his plans.

“Later,” I promise.

“I’ll hold you to that.”

“When have I ever turned you down?”

“Yesterday,” he says, his voice serious.

I glare at him. “Really? We were grocery shopping.”

He shrugs. “And?”

I chuckle, turning to walk away from him.

He tugs me back, pressing his hand to my lower back so we’re touching in nearly every part possible. “I can’t help it that I want you all the time.”

“And I want you, but I’m not going to let you stick your hand up my skirt in the produce section.”

“Where’s your sense of adventure?”

“It dies when there’s a real chance of getting arrested.”

“You’ll have to make it up to me.”

“I did that when we got home. Or don’t you remember that the ice cream was liquid and ruined by the time we were done.”

“I’m never going to get enough of you,” he says as if that explains everything.

“And I don’t want you to.” I press my lips to his, losing myself the moment he sweeps his tongue across mine.
