“All your stuff is here,” I tell her. “I left your stuff in boxes in your closet, figuring you would want to go through them yourself, but I set up everything else. I didn’t want you to have to deal with all of that with a toddler in tow. The place is move-in ready.”

Sadie’s eyes soften. She’s been in the hotel for almost a week now, assuming Kendall was too busy to meet her to show her the place while we were getting everything ready. Not once did Sadie complain, though, when I know it was rough living in a shared space with an almost one-year-old. Speaking of which, with Rory’s birthday coming up, I should ask Sadie how she wants to go about celebrating.

“Thank you,” she says, hugging me tightly and nestling her face into my neck.

Kendall waggles her brows and mouths, “You did good,” before quietly exiting so we can have some privacy. Rory is with Layla since Sadie assumed the place would need to be cleaned before attempting to move in. Over the past week, while the guys and I have been practicing, Layla, Kendall, and Kendall’s sister, Bailey, welcomed Sadie into their little mom circle

At first, Sadie was nervous and a bit overwhelmed, but after their first playdate—where the women had what they call a Mommy Meeting, which includes drinking wine and gossiping—she was excited to have made new friends while Rory played with the other kids. I learned from Declan that Sadie’s been fantasizing about my pierced cock—and Kendall and Layla tried to convince their husbands to get pierced as well—she met me back at the hotel all smiles. The next day she joined them at the park, and the day after, they all met at that indoor playground. It means a lot to me that she gave my friends a chance and gels so seamlessly with them.

“Where’s Kendall?” Sadie asks when she pulls back and realizes that we’re alone.

“She left.”

Sadie pouts. “I wanted to say thank you.”

“You can tomorrow. We’re going over to their house for a barbecue.”

Her eyes meet mine, and a soft smile curves at the corners of her lips. “Does that mean we’re alone?”

“It does,” I say, unsure where she’s going with this until a tiny twinkle fills her gaze, and she steps on her tiptoes to press her mouth to mine.

“That means I can thank you properly,” she murmurs against my lips. Every night, after I’m done at practice, I’ve been going over to the hotel to hang out with Sadie and Rory. While Rory’s awake, our focus is on her, playing and eating dinner, running through her bedtime routine, but once she’s asleep, Sadie and I get alone time.

We spend the majority of the time talking and getting to know one another, but for the past couple of days, we’ve split our time between talking and kissing. I can’t remember the last time I simply kissed a woman—for so long, I resorted to fucking, keeping any and all emotion out of the act—but I have to admit, kissing Sadie has become one of my favorite pastimes. Her lips are soft and pouty and when she sighs into the kiss, my cock twitches, loving the sound as much as I do.

“You don’t need to thank me,” I mutter. “But I sure as hell won’t stop you from kissing me.”

Our mouths connect, our tongues gliding along each other, and I revel in her sweet taste as I lift her into my arms, carrying her out of Rory’s room and back into the living room. I go to set her on the couch next to me, but her legs lock around my waist, and she remains on my lap when I sit down. Every time we kiss, I let her control the situation, not wanting to go faster than she’s ready for. She deserves my patience and for us to take each step at her pace.

With her straddling my lap, she deepens the kiss, running her fingers through my hair and fisting the strands, silently demanding more. I break the kiss, trailing fiery kisses along her neck, suckling on her soft flesh, reacquainting myself with every inch of her, memorizing every freckle and beauty mark. When we were together before, I was too high to appreciate what I had, but now that I’m sober, I refuse to take any part of her for granted.

“Oh, God,” she breathes when I suck on the sensitive spot just under her ear, no doubt leaving a mark. Her center grinds down on my crotch, and I slide my hands down her hips and cup her pert ass, loving the way her soft body feels against my own.

She releases my hair and lifts her shirt over her head, exposing a black lace bra that shows off the swells of her breasts and hardened nipples.
